Does anyone know if the sharp pain to the right of my navel(about 1 inch from) is normal? It started all of a sudden in the night, and is still continuing 30 min. later. Baby is kicking and moving around just find. Any suggestions?

It is probably just the uterus stretching or the ligament pain. You will experience all kinds of weird things during pregnancy. I would mention it to the doc. Especially if there are other symptoms. It is always best to mention any kind of pain to your doc.

I have pain all the time like that. It's just the baby moving around or laying in a certain spot.

It sounds like round ligament pain, which typically occurs on the right side of the pelvis. If you have any other symptoms (fever, chills, pain when urinating, trouble walking), check with your doctor, because round ligament pain can be similar to other conditions, like appendicitis and ovarian cysts (these are not likely to be your problem if you're just experiencing the pain you described above).
As far as treatment, Tylenol (the pregnancy standard!), you can apply a heating pad to that area, or take a warm bath, or just try laying on your left side (which you probably are anyway!). Good luck!

I would say its no real reason for concern.... sounds to me like your skin in stretching in order to make room for the baby.... i also noticed my belly getting itchy with the stretching.

it could be ligament stretching, trapped gas or at worse- indicating a problem with your appendix. If the pain is in your Right lower quadrant of your abdomen and sharp, it could definately be that. If the pain doesn't go away soon You should get yourself to the ER immediately.

Alot of time it is due to ligament stretching, but if it continues to bother you, get checked by your doctor just to ease your mind. Congrats to you on your pregnancy!

The pain is not in the belly button, just off the right of the navel. It's not a cramp(thank goodness), and is more of a constant pain, that can be stabbing pain from time to time. It sort of has a burning sensation(which makes me wonder if it's not musculature in nature).

I get a stretching pain near the bottom of mine but I have a scar there... do you have or had a piercing in your belly button perhaps. and pain do you mean brusing pain, cramp pain, or a sharp pain???
