i am 22 wks pregnant soon to be 23 first time pregnancy the baby 3 days ago used to move all the time recently now i can feel the baby move maybe twice a day if why is that ??? maybe not even once?

Melanie07 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is still early. You will feel the baby sometimes and then not as much at other times. As your baby grows and takes up more room, you will be able to feel each time the baby changes position. As long as you feel the baby sometime during the day, then things are fine.

LMO - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) that is normal, the baby is probably in a position that it cant move alot

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The baby could just be hanging out in there, or turned a different way to where the movements are not towards your tummy. I went 2 1/2 days just feeling very light movements, compared to my baby's usual activity. It freaked me out, but he is back to moving as usual now.

debi - 80 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My midwife told me to keep note of movements everyday. if theres lack of movement 1 day or no movement at all then to ring assessment centre n they'll monitor baby. If your concerned then ring up and put your mind at rest.

gr8scottswife - 80 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) That's common.

Brandi J. - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As long as you feel the baby move sometimes at this point then there is no concern, even if it only 1 time/day. The kick counts do not start until week 28. When I was preg. w/ my 1st baby, I called the doc. b/c his movement slowed as well and one day, I only felt him 1 time, so I was sooooo concerned, and I was told about the 28 weeks.

Cindie - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) IDK, I'm 21 weeks and will feel movement alot one day and nothing the next couple days. (BTW... I just started feeling movement a week ago)

slg3233 - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The kicks don't start getting frequent until atleast 25 weeks. And plus the baby is probably just sleeping.

Debra - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) position, baby might be tired. Babies are little people after all and the amount of movement in utero is often what they will be like after birth as well. Some days are more active b/c they will have more energy, other days will be sleepy days and they need to rest. You can try drinking some cold water if you are concerned or do a little poking around :0 I always got a response if i leaned against a counter or ate something.

michaela - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it's still ok not to feel your baby move that much at this stage. it does depend on his/her positioninside you. His/her feet could be along your back so you might not feel anything. If you are concerned speak to your dr and get the heartbeat checked.

kater - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) when you first start feeling movement, it can be very sporadic, some days you feel them heaps the next hardly at all. often if you are very busy, your baby will move, but it wont be noticed by the mother. if you are very worried you can always go to your HCP and ask them to use the doppler to hear the heartbeat

niki - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Try ice cold water and try resting - keep a kick chart just to be sure how many kicks you feel if they are still pretty low i would contact the doctor and they will do traces of the baby... just to be on the safe side. take care x

MelissaJoanne - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You might start to notice baby more depending on how you're sitting/laying, or what you just ate (like some sweet yummy fruit). Your baby is still so teeny though, you probably won't feel regular movement for a few weeks. Don't worry! It's normal, and in a couple months you'll likely be feeling baby regularly.

lizzie287 - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The baby is still quite small. He/she may still be moving but while you're busy doing other things and not paying as much attention. Try not to worry too much until week 28 or so, when they say you should start your kick counts.

lady26 - 81 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) The baby is still fairly small, you will feel it more the further along you are in your pregnacy.

baby.bray - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) this is my first pregnancy also and at 22/23 weeks I didn't always feel my baby moving - I mentioned this to my midwife and she explained that beacause there is so much room in the early 20 weeks the baby may move and kick you in the back where you dont really feel it - movements are felt more in the front x

Godispeace - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You should try drinking a glass of water and laying on your right, it worked for me.

monica9 - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I didnt even feel my first twinge until 22 weeks. dont worry about. plus b/c you have so much room in there now, baby might have changed positions and you cant feel him/her in that specific position.

Baby3OnWay - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its common this early to not feel EVERY movment but I am sure babys still kicking its way around in there. The usually say to count kicks and stuff later in pregnancy once you notice this but soon you may not even getyour sleep due to kicing ALL NIGHT LONG!!! best of luck and enjoy!

Christina1984 - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its ur 1st pregnancy and it is common for u not to feel it all the time yet. it may not be very active either. dont worry pretty soon it will be keeping u up at night. im 25 wks with 2nd and it kept me up for hours last night. a good way to get it to move is drink some orange juice or eat a candy bar or something

ashleyandcaleb - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) when my baby doesnt move, labor and delivery tells me to drink something sweet or eat something sweet, and lay flat on my back in a quiet room, then i should get some movements in 30 minutes

Mommyof2boys - 81 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Some days the baby is more active than others, try eating a little bit of fruit and see if that gets them moving around. I don't think you should worry about kickcounts until around 28 weeks the baby is still real small right now and its okay to feel them at times and other times nothign at all, as long as you are feeling something you should be ok. Good luck & Congrats!
