I`ve been looking around at bassinets and thought about buying a round bassinet. I think they look so cute but was wondering if any of you ladies have one or had one before.. do they take up alot of room or are they about the size of a regular bassinet? Would you recommend one or is a regular bassinet better??

mrscolegrove - 158 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it all depends on how much u want to spend of coarse the round ones are more cuz there farely new and they serve the same purpose and work the same

Melanie07 - 159 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had a regular one. I looked at the round. They take up more room. It is really just what you feel you like and if you have the room. They also cost a lot more. You also have to pay more for the sheets to fit it. Another reason I like the regular one is because I could move it to a different room with no problem.

Debra - 159 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) We had our son beside us in our room for 4 months in a Graco pack n'play. It has a bassinet option, a change table and a sound machine. The change table was especially handy for night time changing. We were in a 550sq feet 1 bedroom apartment and the pack n'play was great. Not to mention that we still use it and will continue to use it as he ages. I wouldn't waste money on something that baby will be grown out of after a 3 months or so or when they hit around 15lbs. It looks cute, but personally I prefer functionality.

agonzales - 159 days ago Ya right now I wouldnt have any room in my apt but we are suppose to be moving to a bigger apt soon and I should have more room then.

gr8scottswife - 159 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) A round bassinet sounds cute. It really depends on the space you have available and location of the item.

christina1984 - 159 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i love the round ones but i went with regular shaped cuz they just seemed like they would take up too much room, room that i dont have until we move. if u like em and have the room go for it cuz they look awesome

lady26 - 159 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I guess you already figure out which one is best for you, I like the round ones too.

monica9 - 159 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think its your own preference. if you have the room do it. I think the only reason it might take up more room is b/c its round, but they are very cute!!

LMO - 159 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) a friend of mine had a round one and loved it

ashleyandcaleb - 160 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) whats the difference between round and not round...? i guess the round ones would be smaller maybe..idk but theres some on the target website and they are beautiful!

agonzales - 160 days ago Thank you ladies! I like the round ones better but I just didnt want it to take up too much room. I'll most likely end up getting one. =)

Mommyof2boys - 160 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I love the round one's and there's not really a big difference in size.

Baby3OnWay - 160 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My friend has a round one and she loves it! i asked her what she though of the sixe and she said there wasn't much difference at all. I LOVE BASSINETS for the first few months. You can have them with you in anyroom and they are especially nice when breastfeeding. Happy Shopping!! Buy what you like best!

stephandisaac - 160 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Here's what I did and I recommend it for everyone ! I had a bassinet with my first son and he hated it. Decided to try it with this one and he hated it too. He does however like the pack-n-play with the bassinet attatchment. Plus, after he outgrows the bassinet it's still useful. The bassinet...not so much. Hope this helps :)

MelissaJoanne - 160 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think that the round ones are about 5-6 inches wider than the more rectangular ones. Round ones are about 25 inches in diameter, rectangular ones are about 19-20 inches wide, and probably at least 35 inches long. I would guess that you might be able to use a rectangular one for a few weeks/months more than a round one, if your baby gets too long for the size of a round bassinet.

slg3233 - 160 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Either one of your choice would be fine. I have always used just a regular one.
