I am 6 weeks pregnant and am experiencing some spotting. It is almost as if I was starting my period but there`s barely anything there. I had some cramping to go along with it. I know i``ve heard all this is normal, I`m just freaking out - this is my first pregnancy.

mrscolegrove - 78 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) everyone will tell you its normal but if ur freaking out go to ur doctor i find its really the only thing that will calm you down to have a profesional tell you or even get an ultra sound i had my first at 6 weeks and youll at least get to see and hear the little flicker of the heart beat and wow that will calm you for weeks

MelissaJoanne - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As hard as it is, try not to freak out! I worried too when I spotted in my first trimester. Sometimes it is from implantation bleeding, sometimes it is your body clearing out old blood, sometimes it is caused by stretching as your body starts to make room for a baby. It is unlikely if it is very milk and occasional that it is a signal of something bad. If you are spotting and very nervous, lay down and take it easy, relax, don't do anything strenuous. Sit back and let your body take care of baby.

brandi j. - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) At week 6 it could be implantation bleeding, this normally happens at week 4, but it is different for some women. Also, some women will spot and cramp b/c their body knows that it would normally be time for AF. If you are scared, then I suggest getting a doc appointment, you deserve the right to a peace of mind.

Mommyof2boys - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its probaby implantation bleeding from the baby implanting its self. If you are concernd make a doc apt. just to be sure and reassure your self so you don't worry. Congrats & good luck!

niki - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If the blood is bright red get it checked out or large amounts or alot of pain. Dark blood is old blood. take care x

julie9758 - 79 days ago I only spotted very little for three days. Now on the fourth day I'm still having some mild cramping and only a brownish spotting when I wipe but nothing elsewise. thanks for all the comments - most made me feel a lot better.

RandiLee - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It didn;t happen to me, but I have heard soo many people talk about that...completely normal.

2b - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Julie, I'm going through the same thing...I keep going to check but nothing really and I am wearing a pad just in case...but its also a good way to keep an eye on things. Let me know what you discover. And lets try (try) not to worry about it.

gingin26 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am almost 5 weeks prego and had sex yesterday and afterwards there was a little pinkish discharge for about 20 minutes. After that it was gone. No more signs of this, I keep wanting to go to the bathroom and make sure theres nothing there. I hearing all of these people tell us not to worry about it, but you still cant help but worry! I KNOW! I hope the best for you!

denee85 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would call the doctor and ask what they would like you to do..I had light cramping and some light spotting around week 7 & 8 and they wanted me to be on 24 hour bedrest (just until the spotting went away..) It IS normal, but like I said, check with your doctor...

LMO - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it is normal to spot at the beginning of pregnancy dont worry if it gets really bad or painful thats when you need to be concerned and call your doctor

liz82 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it may be normal i bleed with my last 3 pregnancy i did so until my 3 month . but if your spotting and cramping then you should go see your doctor . i hope everything is ok . please keep me posted god bless you and your unborn baby .

LilMrsK - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As far as I know it is normal however if there is pain associated with the spotting I would get to the dr asap. Best of luck!

monica9 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would call doctor, but it is a normal thing. I spotted at 7 and 9 weeks. Sex can also make you spot.

Baby3OnWay - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) CAN BE NORMAL but I would still make an appointment to speak with your Dr. about it! Best Wishes!

gr8scottswife - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) This can be normal.

agonzales - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) In most cases its normal to spot and cramp but thats not always the case. I would contact your doctor or if you dont have one yet go to the er to be safe and sure. With my last pregnancy I spotted a brownish color and cramped alittle and everyone kept saying its normal and I shouldnt worry but I ended up having a miscarriage. With this pregnancy I also bled but heavier than the last time and it was like a goowey red pink color. Im almost 19wks and everything seems to be fine so far. I hope everything turns out fine with you and your baby. Take care!

lady26 - 79 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I read some cramping and spotting is normal, is one of the first signs of pregnancy.

mrsbekki - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had light spotting, freaked me out. Turned out it was implantation bleeding. Everything has been great so far. Good luck. If it gets worse I would call a doctor.

skittles0607 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It shouldnt be anything to worry about.. If you start getting severe cramping or if the the bleeding gets heavy I would seek help right away. if you have already gone to the DR's I would call just to give them the heads up.. Good Luck

crystalmooon - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I experienced some spotting in the begining of my pregnancy too - but it turned out to be ok. If you are really worried about it, contact your doctor. Spotting can be a totally normal part of pregnancy, but it can also indicate something else. So take it easy, try to relax and if it lasts more than a day or two give your doctor a call. Good luck!!

christina1984 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i hear its normal too. it could be implantation bleeding. if u have a doc i would call them anyway. better to be safe than sorry

2xmom - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It can happen, and not be a miscarriage. Always check with your doctor! There are many reasons for this. In my case, I was 9 weeks along with my first baby, and had major cramps one night, I went into the bathroom, and (not to be sick)- but it was like someone turned a hose on, I had such heavy blood loss! I had to sit on the toilet because a pad wasn't enough. I was so scared! I called my doc immediately, she gave some instructions on what to do. She got me in for an U/S the next day, and happily our baby girl was still in there!!! She was doing fine. Come to find out I had to get a Rhogam shot (usually it's not needed so early). Somewhere in the bloodstreams, my blood was very close to her blood, and my body was trying to fight off the pregnancy - because I have a neg. RH factor and hers was a positive RH factor. Talk to your doctor, try not to think the worst, until you get answers!
