I had surgery over 5 months ago and still am having numbness and decreased sensation around my incision line- from my belly button to the bottom of my abdomen. Anyone else feel the same? if so, how long did it take for sensation to return?

athome - 78 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi It is common to have numbness around the scar line and lower abdomin for quite some time but it differs for everyone. I have had 2 CS and to be honest still have numbness on the scar line and my last CS was 18 months ago.

Shellybela - 78 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have had other surgeries...not a C-Section...but I can say that it took a long time for the sensation to come back. But eventually it did...be patient. For me it was a wierd and bothersom feeling...

lady26 - 78 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) Some women takes months some take years for the sensation to come back.

nikola212 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my dr told me that it can take up to a year before you get the feeling back, hope that helped!

Baby3OnWay - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My best friend had a c-section and she said that it was still sensative after nearly a year. It got better but was still there. its been nearly three years for her and now she 15 weeks pregnant with another and its all comin back, her DR said the chances of another c-section are pretty high! Best of luck and hope it gets better for ya soon!

mike mike - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i understand what you are saying that was my first c-section but i have two kids but my stomach still hurts even though my baby is only three months old it probably will never go away because some say of the major surgery they always offer me pain pills but i dont want them but it gets so bad sometimes i have to take one

stephandisaac - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My doctor told me I may never get rid of the numbness. I know it's weird, but you get used to it after a while. I was just starting to get used to it when I had another c-section. haha

Mommyof2boys - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) so normal. I was numb for 2yrs it will go away, its nothing to worry about.

monica9 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 5 months is still so recent. i had a petty incision on my finger that was numb for a year and a half. It just started getting feeling back. Good luck
