I too get dizzy in pregnancy, mine is due to my blood pressure dropping. You should really get your blood pressure checked and make sure everything is ok there. Blood pressure problems are dangerous for you and your baby. Also, w/ your family's medical history, it would be very wise for you to visit your doctor often especcially w/ the symptoms that your are having. I hope you feel better soon! :o)

Talk to your dr about this. I am only in my first trimester and I get dizzy andlightheaded often. My dr told my to drink more and to get up slowly. Def. check with your dr on this..

Difficultly breathing could be due to the baby getting bigger - i found that in the 3rd trimester - feeling faint and dizzy are two symptoms in pregnancy - just to be on the safe side i would mention to the midwife if nothing else she should reassure you. take care x

Depends on alot of factors, like how far along you are. I am just about 37 weeks and feel super short of breath, and feel dizzy all the time, and have seen stars a couple of times and had to just sit down and rest. That being said, you should ABSOLUTELY mention it to your doctor, especially because of your family history, but also because it could mean you have low blood pressure, are anemic, or any number of other things. Call your doctor and see what he says!!

Maybe you should get it checked out since there is history with the pregnancies. It could be anxiety attacks like everyone else said or something to do with your blood pressure. Drink lots of water and rest. Take care

this could be a number of issues depending on your body and family history i have those same symptoms but mine is due to anemia so just check with your doctor to make sure you and your baby is not a risk for anything

I would go to the doctor just to be safe. Could be preeclampsia, anxiety attack, or something more serious so go!!

that happens to me too but i have a cardiologist...for the reason i have heart disease and thats why that happens to me so you might want to see a dr about that. and your body does have more blood during pregnancy so that can be the cause of the racing of the heart.

definitely talk to your doctor right away. seeing stars when pregnant can be a sign of blood pressure being too high (as can te other symptoms you mention), so best to rule that out. stay hydrated and sit and rest when you feel dizzy. good luck!

You could just be having an anxiety attack, or it could just be the usual pregnancy symptoms, but you should definitely go to the doctor. In the least, you should have your blood pressure checked and possibly a blood test as well. If your mum had cardiac problems, they may also monitor you. Your health and that of your baby is most important, don't just put it down to anxiety or pregnancy. You don't want to risk a stroke, cardiac problems, pre eclampsia or risk your baby's health either. Good luck!

With that history I would totally go to the doctor AT LEAST to get it checked out. In the meantime keep yourself hydrated and try to relax when you start getting dizzy. Make sure you're eating enough as well.

It could be your weight like baby3onway said. I get that too and I am 34 weeks. It scares me though when I get the heart beats like that.

Sounds like you could be having some anxiety attacks, the symptoms can include:
Rapid heart beat, pounding heart or palpitations
Sweating
Shaking visibly or inside
Choking sensations or lump in throat
Smothering or shortness of breath sensations
Chest pain or discomfort
Nausea, bloating, indigestion or abdominal discomfort
Dizziness or unsteadiness
Feeling light-headed
Derealisation (feeling unreal or dreamy)
Depersonalisation (feeling outside yourself or like you don't exist)
Fear of losing control or going crazy
Paresthesias (numbness or tingling sensations) in face, extremities or body
Chills or hot flushes
Skin losing colour
Blushing or skin blotches
Urgently needing to urinate or defecate
Try to take deep breaths and tell your self its okay that it will soon pass. The anxiety/panic attack can last anywhere from 10mins to a few days with some of the symptoms subsiding. Anxiety/panic attacks can run in the family but also being pregnant causes them as well as a chemical imbalance which can be fixed with natural healing or meds your doc can put you on. Try some yoga and Good luck!

It sounds very normal to me, for pregnancy. Shortness of breath, dizziness or fainting, feeling like your heart is racing - all common pregnancy symptoms, especially now that you're at 31 weeks. Don't let your relatives scare you! You have enough going on without the extra worry. If you truly can't get a breath, that would be something to consult a doctor about. What you've described above seems like what many pregnant women feel. I know I've had all of your symptoms, and I'm not nearly as far along!
