With my 1st pregnany my sciaitic didn`t bother me until i was in my last month of pregnancy which was absolute hell. this time around i`m only 11 wks now & my nerve has been pinching me since 8 wks. OMG!!!! to deal with this the whole pregnancy is NUTS!! The pain hurts so bad, it just cripples me & i can barely walk. I just freeze b/c the slightest move another way it zaps me even harder. all along my lower left side of my back. What do I do about this???? It`s getting to be extremely painful....

It especially hit if I had to lay on my back for any amount of time. It really sucked when I went to the doc. It was worse with my first. I think they way the baby also has something to do with it. See if you can get massages. They seam to help some. I also did yoga with my third. I didn't get the pain as much with her.

MelissaJoanne - 121 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I started having pain with mine early too, and didn't know what I would do if I was in so much pain for SO long! What I have done so far that helped - I loaded up my side of the bed to be as comfy as possible. I first tried using just about all the pillows in our apartment, but that was pretty hard to maintain. Now I have two down blankets piled up on my side, and it has been great. I used to wake up with such horrible nerve pain for the rest of the day, but I don't get it as much anymore. I'd really recommend getting a crazily comfortable sleep. I also do yoga, and instruct doxa soma (a Christian workout program, similar to yoga and pilates), and it helps me to feel better. I couldn't do much of it when I was in a lot of pain, but now that I'm not as sore I can do more stretching and flexing. So in addition to good sleep, I will add good stretching! I hope that some of this helps and you start feeling better soon!

I found that a warm bath helped for a bit and not staying in one position for too long. The good news though was that it didn't last my entire pregnancy either time. I didn't have any problems in the 2nd or 3rd trimester w/ either one of these pregnancies! I hope the same holds true for you, it is very painful!

Mommyof2boys - 121 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) Second time pregnancy it seems everything comes a lot sooner and gets bigger a lot sooner than the first, you will notice everything a lot quicker. Try to put a heating pad or taking a warm bath you can also take tylenol for it and see if that helps, when you sleep prop pillows around you for good support and while walking take rest every few mins to minimize the pain. Hope you start to feel better soon!

sarahann - 121 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had really bad sciatica for most of my pregnancy and it was unbearable. My doctor showed me a number of stretches to do to help relieve it. I won't try and describe them as I don't want to tell you something wrong and make it worse, but do see your doctor or a physio and they will personally show you what to do. Good luck, I hope it gets better for you!

skittles0607 - 121 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I really have no idea what could really help you with this. Talk to your dr they should now what will help.. Good Luck.

joyfulnoise - 122 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I had a little sciatic pain early on this time, it has since stopped. I am now 6 months along and it has yet to come back, which I know it will at the end. Talk to your Doctor about the pain.

Check out the site and the product and let me know what you think. I call it my belly bra and I swear by it!!!

bonnieheather - 122 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) i would google pregnancy yoga there are some moves that free up the sciatic nerve, its like WOW....instant relief. other than that get a bean bag to sit on leaning forward legs open leaning on something. or i found the best place to sit when mine was terrible was on the toilet the wrong way round facing the cistern legs dangling either side ... usually crying.. it lowers the cocxyx and seems to provide relief. hope you are ok xx but hey the yoga thing really worked for me
