Can braxton hicks feel like sharp pains like when your constipated

klasnaya - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had some some painful BH that felt sharp...But i also have a problem where i have too many contractions and they do get painful even tho they say they shouldnt be painful. But if your further along then they can be painful!

wildberry - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) braxton hicks should not be painful

christina1984 - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) from what ive been told they shouldnt be painful just uncomfortable. u should just feel ur stomach tighten from the top and go down. they last from like 30 sec to 2 mins. you may be feeling ligaments. if its painful enough call ur doc just in case

monica9 - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) well, everyone feels Bh differently. I sometimes get a light cramping in lower ab then my stomach tightens up and other times its as if my lungs are closing up and then my stomach tightens and other times i have no clue im getting them! but i have heard many people complaining about stabbing pains throughout pregnancy so its normal. good luck!!

Its-Chelle - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i didnt even know i had them..lol..all i remember is my stomach tightening up for a few seconds, my tummy got hard..i thought it was my son sticking his butt or back up in the air..lol..i had no clue at the time it was bh's..

Baby3OnWay - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) no I don't think so... Mine get harder and mroe painful near the end but not sharp pains. You may be feeling som stretching, pinched nerve or added discomfort due to babies position!

UKMama - 62 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) No. What you are feeling is likely to be ligament strain, muscle stretching, wind or constipation pains. With the last two, try lying on your left side for a while (20-30 mins), to get 'things' moving.

niki - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wouldnt say sharp pains just a tightening of the tummy muscles - they generally arent very painful, i would just contact the doctor and see what he/she says about it. I was severly constipated when pregnant and with the pain i experienced i thought it was labour signs but no thats a totally different feeling - if constipation is a problem try lactalose on a regular basis... its safe to take when pregnant. take care x

Debra - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) braxton hicks feels like a sudden tightening of the abdomen. It usually starts at the top and works its way down, it can be painful or uncomfortable. but if you feel like its constipation, then it most likely is. How long has it been? Try increasing your fluids, eating lots of fruit and adding some benefiber to your water. Constipation will continue after birth as well for several weeks- I still have constipation on and off now- its more common if you breastfeed, so you might as well go get a big 'ol container of benefibre now.

athome - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) No not really. more likely that you are constipated or have wind. If it really hurts talk to your doctor it really doesnt sound like BH. How far along are you ?
