should i call the hospital?

im 20 weeks pregnant with my second. when i woke up this morning and rolled over i felt a trickle of liquid come out of my vagina and it felt exactly like when my water was leaking with my son (only i was 40 weeks at that point with him)and im worried im leaking amniotic fluid. i had to pee really badly, so i went, wiped up and got fresh. i sat down on the bed and there was a wet spot where i was sitting about the size of a dime. there is virtually no smell to it - just a hint of `down there`. its clear and thin. its still happening every couple of minutes. my hubby and i had sex last night, so is it possible its leftover lovejuice from him? even after peeing and being up and about for about a 1/2 hr? im monitoring it but honestly i dont want to end up at the hospital over a little incontinence or leftover ejaculate. im just concerned because my water never actually broke with my first because of a fold in the placenta - it just leaked until i went into labor 8 hrs later. what do you think? no unsual cramping or anything and ive felt the baby move... how do i know if im leaking amniotic fluid??

Holly28 - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Amniotic fluid apparently smells like pickles/vinegar. Hope this helps. Sounds to me like it is just the leftovers from your adventures with your husband. That happens to me all the time the next morning.

Debra - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Put your fingers down there and give it the old sniff test. It sounds to me like leaking ejaculate. If it doesn't smell or feel like ejaculate then maybe you want to go get checked. Personally after sex, i wipe, put on a pad and in the morning still find i'm leaking a bit so...

klasnaya - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Keep an eye on it but i think its from the sex...I get the same thing afterwards and leak in the morning too when getting up. It could of came out from ur bladder and stayed in there till you moved. Good luck

Baby3OnWay - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had this hapen to me a few hours after sex. I got up and it was as i my water brok only it wasn't like a gush or large amount. I went into the washroom and had a pee and then sat there wondering if maybe it was pee... liek the fact that I just had sex, baby could have moved to my bladder and curled up hiding there and when i stood up it came out... I then cleaned up and went to bed after not noticing it for about an hour. The next day I had the same small leakage here and there but I think it was all from the sex and what was left behind from the night before! Take it easy and keep an eye on it! If you are really worried about it though theres no harm in making the call whether your right or wrong!

If it didnt gush and it is your amniotic fluid then you will definitely be seeing more of it. So, keep eye on it and if it becomes constant then you should go to doctor or hospital. good luck!!

christina1984 - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) im thinking it could be some leftovers of last night. but i have had stuff leaking out more and im thinking cuz its hot out now. u never know so i would call the doc they will most likely ask u if it smells sweet or like amonia.

liz82 - 91 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i know that when you leaking fluid that it is clear and that you water might leak you may not experiance any cramping . if i was you just to ve on the safe side i would get checked out . sometimes its hard to tell by just looking at it at the hospatil the doctor can do a test to make sure it isnt your water bag . i hope everything is ok .

I would guess that it's a combo of left over from last night's lovin' :-) as well as the normal extra discharge we get being pregnant women. I would wait a couple hours, maybe take a bath, put on some fresh undies and see if there seems to be a steady stream after that. If there is you should call the Doctor just to be safe. Good luck!

But they say if the liquid was clear and sweet smelling it prolly might be the aminotic liquid, and I have heard ppl tell that sometime it does trickle a lil, I would still check with the doc juz to make sure everything is alright, and I hope it is :)
