They dont sound too effeminate to me. Or you can also go with Jeremiah.

I like both names. I know a few Tims and they are all very manly! I don't think either sound effeminate.

I don't think either are really effeminate sounding. Now, for me personally, I associate the name Jeremy with someone I know, and HE is very effeminate in his actions. But Timothy, I don't see it that way. I know my SIL wanted to name her boy Blayne, but the older brother threw a fit and said it was too girly. I would have to agree on that one.

I think they are both very boyish names. When I think effeminate names i would think of unisex names. But who am I to judge I gave my daughter a unisex name.

I just looked that up, cause I had no idea what that meant. I really don't think they are. You could always go really manly and name him Butch or something. Just kidding...haha My fiances name is Fransis (Frank)...don't name him that :)

Jeremy usually gets shortened to Jez which makes a nice sounding name horrible i think.. they do sound very like ex public school boy politicians names!! they are in no way effeminate tho so dont worry about that! x
