hi all you ladies who have had your babies just out of interest, how long did you go overdue (if you did) before you went into labour either naturally or medically? xxx thanks :-)

msmillsap08 - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My mom went overdue way past her due date with me. She was due Jan. 11th and I wasnt born until Feb. 7th! She went into the hospital the night before and had Prostaglandin Gel placed against her cervix on a Diaphragm and she was suppose to get induced the following morning however the gel kickstarted her labor and 7.5 hours later I arrived, via Vaginal Delivery aided with Forceps. I hope I dont go over that long either.

nikola212 - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i went 10 days over, my dr. wouldnt let me go any farther he said that anything over that usually really complicates things, but i had to have a c-section cause i went so far over, my son ended up getting too big!

eastern-Canadian-Lady - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was due on Jan 5th by dates, but Jan 17 by ultrasound. I had the baby by induction on January 21st. I picked the date, bc on the appointment on the Thursday before with the ob/gyn, he asked what was the latest I wanted to wait. I said the 21st, then he said "let me see my schedule". He looked, then said "I am on duty at the hospital that day, you can come on up, but give us a call in the morning to make sure we aren't too busy." so that was it. I was lucky though, bc the doctors were on strike here at that time, and my ob/gyn was JUST getting back that week from a trip to Hawaii. I didn't want to have the baby without him being there. He was the best!!! The nurses that assessed my daughter said she was approximately 40 weeks gestation based on tests that they did.

mumofsoontobe5 - 89 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) You poor bugger!!! I remember what it was like going over. My first was 14 days over, my second 12 days and my third was 14 days. All of which I was booked in for induction, but went into labour naturally the day before!! Try to rest as much as you can. It wont be log and your precious bub will be here. Good luck! xx

Congrats on ur prgnancy, ok..first baby (girl) was when I was 16 years old and she was 2 weeks over due, the night before they were to induce labor I went in labor and had a long labor. with my second child (boy) I was 22 years old and he kept trying to come early, was on bed rest fighting to keep him in long enough, then lil stinker was breech and I had a c/s at 40 weeks along, third baby (boy was breech and we picked the date may 15th to have him by c/s and he was at 38 weeks, I did start to go into labor the day before scheduled c/s...I think he would have came around 38 weeks anyways cuz the night before I started going into labor and barley made it till morning when the c/s was scheduled, the doctor had to pause a few times during the c/s to wait for a contraction to stop. :)

Its-Chelle - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my 3rd child was a couple days over due before i went into labor, and my 4th was gonna be overdue, so i was induced 2 days after due date cause he was getting big and i was soooo ready to have him..didnt want to wait another wk for stress test and all..my sister was about 2 wks overdue before they were gonna induce her..seems to vary with doctors and what they want to do..

Baby3OnWay - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) due the 25th with first had her the 26th, second due november 14th had him on the 8th! I know that here they usually induce at 1 week and never let you go past 2 weeks overdue!
