christina1984 - 153 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I like it, i wouldnt worry about what others think. i doesnt matter if its from charlie brown as long as you like it. every name comes from somewhere. i just told some friends yesterday the name i chose for my little girl ( Mylie Jade) and they said oh you stole that from Miley Cyrus. i said no i just like the name alot and so does my fiance. so i guess im going to hear alot of that now.

HECK my daughter's name is KLOE and she calls herself HOEY... people think I am a mean mom for choosing that name because of the way she calls herself. No matter what name you choose someone will have something to say about it! its up to you mommy!

I think it is adorable, and besides it is just a cartoon, ppl name their children after other characters all the time, some who are vulgar and degrading and no one ever thinks anything about that, so I think naming your child after a cute character like Linus who actually acts like a child, you could even use the nickname Linny, which is adorable as well.

professorpreggers - 154 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) He wasn't the most loveable character and not the brightest--never took his thumb out of his mouth always niced his blanket. I would say though, that if you really love the name, the Peanuts era is over and will be long over by the time your son is old enough to make the association.The movies aren't on DVD, the books aren't in re-print--kids don't really know the Peanuts characters anymore. Does your husband agree with you on this one:?

There was something about him I remember, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it until mellowyellow answered. I'm sorry, but I have to agree with her. Ultimately though it is your choice. If you like the name then use it! It should be all about what you and your husband want to call your child. Anyway, as KarenVG said, your child and his friends probably won't have any idea who Linus from Peanuts was.

sez - 154 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) im not really sure what character you are talking about , but if its a name you like then choose it, remember people may make a comment about it when you first tell them but once your baby is born and you choose a name people are hardly gonna make fun of it once you have decided thats what you will call your darling child, dont choose a name you want others to like :)

KarenVG - 154 days ago Rating: 5 (2 votes) I was originally from the uk, Linus from peanuts was with the blanket, never let it go, was kinda immature as friends never had one so figure that is what makes you think. His name associated with the character makes you think that, but people these days name thier kids many things even associated with objects like a motorbike or a satchel or an apple, so If you both like it do not worry what we all think! His school friends would not know the character if it is not around over there anymore.
