Does breast feding help to lose all baby weight, or just some.

bonnieheather - 74 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i lost too much weight cause my baby was sooo huge... 5 stones in 4 weeks.. i was like skelator with skin hanging off.. NOT A GOOD LOOK!

mommy-at-home - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I didn't lose any weight while breastfeeding. Not a single pound. And she exclusively breast fed for a year - would not take solids, juice, formula at all!

Baby3OnWay - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I lost all my baby weight within weeks of having a child and breastfeeding and i also ate like a pig. Probably more then I did when I was prego. It may differ from person to person though

Mommyof2boys - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It burns lots and lots of calories. Thats why they tell you to consume an extra 500/day. I BF and I lost all of my weight with in a couple of months I didn't sit around all day doing nothing I still walked and ate healthy, I'm sure its a combo of all of that.

mayasmom - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with Melanie07...I hold on to weight while breast feeding and I am ravenous all the time, so it is hard to stick to a low enough nujmber of calories that I am actually losing....sorry!

Melanie07 - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I could never loose weight while breast feeding. It does help a lot of people. I am one of the unlucky ones. I also would start AF within a couple months even while only bfing.

denee85 - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It burns about 500-700 calories a day and it did help me to lose alot of the baby weight..I lost about 20 + lbs within a week of giving birth and then I lost the other 20 lbs I'd gained within the next 2-3 weeks.

Debra - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) burns actually 700 cal a day as you need to consume extra 300 cal a day for pregnancy and another 400 a day on top of the 300 if you are breastfeeding. I lost 10 lb immediately after birth, another 5 within 2 weeks of birth, and the rest came off slowly by about 5 months post delivery. I'm now 2 lb down below my pre-preg weight (gained total 31lb during) and still dropping. It also helps if you get some exercise and eat healthy after birth. wildberry - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) bf burns approximately 500 calories a day and that usually helps in weight loss good luck hon

TERRIAMY - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Breastfeeding really helped me lose weight with my first you can actually feel your tummy pulling as the baby is feeding our bodies are amazing things what is also great is that it is very good for you baby just make sure you eat a well balanced diet and avoid spicy foods x x good luck

leahs - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think it does alot in the first 4-6wks, it definitely helps contract and shrink your uterus back to pre-pregnancy shape alot quicker and since your bf'ing so much the first month it burns alot of calories, for me it was and still is the last 8lbs that are the hardest to get rid of.

skittles0607 - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I hear that it helps. Also you have to eat right because not everyone will lose the weight. Eat right, exercise and try the breast feeding. If you don't lose the weight just be patient. Everyone is different.. Good Luck!

candace3 - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with Masha...everyone thought i was crazy, because I couldn't lose while nursing. I nursed for 14 months. Finally 3 weeks after I was doone nursing I was at my prepregnancy wait. I lost around 10 lbs just like that. Some it helps, me it did not.

LMO - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes you can loose alot of baby weight from breastfeeding and it is also good for the baby

KarenVG - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Neither tmes I lost weight from breastfeeding...I was hoping to though!!!! So do not rely on it. Make sure you go out for a regular walk or excersice and that may help. The B/F varies per person, you will have and wait and see :)

leanie093 - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) breastfeeding is the way to go. not only is it best for baby BUT i lost ALL my baby weight b/c of it. Baby #2 on the way now & he/she will most def. be breastfed as well. good luck

jessicadarling - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) For me it has helped me lose all but 5 pounds but everyone is different

masha - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i think for me it did the opposite. i ate the same as when i was pregnant. i was always hungry and couldnt lose any weight. its when i stopped that the scale finally started to budge.
