I am 25 weeks, and recently I have started feeling this tightening at the TOP of my stomach up near the diaphram muscle. It gets a numb senstation that spreads a little bit, then goes away. I would think BH, since my tummy gets hard, but don`t they usually happen much lower? Or could this feeling be my baby sticking his foot up there and stretching? It`s a wierd feeling!

More likely BH. Its the right time for them to start and thats what they feel like. Baby foot would more likely be more "targeted and move slightly whereas BH will be more universally across the top of your tum. HTH.

It sounds like BH. I usually have mine at the top right of my uterus, and this is where my real contractions are most painful as well. I use the BH as practice contractions, to practice my breathing and relaxation exercises.

I would say that it is braxton hicks.. With my second I always got them around that time.. If it is the foot you can feel the difference..

I would say that it is braxton hicks. When the baby's foot slides against you, you will know. Your tummy won't get firm but you will feel a line across your stomach while your baby stretches

I'm 37 weeks and wonder the same thing. But, with me the baby has ran out of room so that's all he does is push on my stomach. I still wonder whether some of the time it's not contactions. I know I didn't answer your question, just wanted to let you know that I'm with you.

It could be a BH but again you never really know when its not yourself.
