MY HUSBAND HAS NEVER REALLY BEEN THE TYPE TO GO OUT HE LOVES SPENDING TIME WITH US BUT HE WORKS SO MUCH THAT HE CANT BE HOME TO OFTEN SO I DONT THINK HE EVEN THINKS ABOUT GOING OUT WITH ANYONE BUT US. BUT MY OPINION WOULD BE THAT THERE SHOULD NOT BE A # OF HOURS OR ANYTHING THAT SHOULD BE OK. ONCE IN A WHILE WOULD BE FINE IF U DONT MIND.

my b/f isn't typical. He is a bit of a home-body and a hermit so he spends way less time with his friends than typical guys. I would say maybe 2-3 hrs a week and most of the time it is "us" who are out with them not just him.

My hubby works with all of his friends so I guess he spends 40+hrs with them, besides work he might hang out with some maybe 2 saturdays out of the month if that, or if there is something going on like they go to the mountains to ride their 4-wheelers sometimes stay over night. I go out with my friends once a week so I make sure he gets to do stuff too.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Thats a good one !!! 10 hours how exactly does he plan to schedule that 2 hours each night after work, an entire day on the weekend ? Tell him to keep dreaming I kniow single people who dont spend that much time with their friends. Why bother having kids if you plan to spend that much time with your buddies. If on the other hand you plan to spend that much time with your family AND friends then that could be fun ie spending a day all together going water skiing, having BBQ's, camping . But if its just him and his friends going off then thats not really going to work. Ask him what 10 hours he plans to spend with them that will give you both an idea of your expectations but remind him you need equivalent time with your friends and you both need time together as well as time together with your kids then look at the schedule and try and find time to work and sleep !!!

I am very lucky I guess ! Mine probably spends 10 hours every 6 months with his friends...if that. He helps me around the house with the boys and works...that's about it. I try to get him to go out more..."go fishing, call your buddy", but he always says no. Tell your hubby he needs to take some lessons :)

Would the 10 hours include possible friends at work? I don't believe it would be excessive depending on the relationship you had and what was happening, as the other ladies mentioned... But if there is no balance between all parties, friends, husband, wife, children, and it's causing some form of grief, then I would say it's excessive.

I agree that 10 hours seems excessive. Maybe occasionally but not every week. What would they even do ten hours a week!? My husband usually goes out one night a weekend and then maybe a night or two during the week for a short period of time. I don't mind him going out but if he were going out ten hours a week I may mind. It varies of course too from week to week. I'd say if he can find ten hours of quality time to spend with his friends he better be able to find ten hours of quality time to spend with you too ;-)

10 hours? That is excessive. I think most men wouldn't go out with their own spouse for 10 hours a week. That would be a hour every night then 2.5 hours each day on the weekends. Who would even have time for family time after that? Keep dreaming boys, you're not single anymore! LOL!

It does depend on the relationship. My hubby plays cards with the guys every Friday night. Occasionally he will go out another night too. He will take me out to eat before going to play cards a lot of the time. Some times, we both go out and meet some of his friends for dinner and/or a drink. The only set thing is cards every Friday night. Some other things sometimes come up. He always lets me know and makes sure we don't have other plans.

Well, my husband works with his good friend, and like 2 times a week, they will go to the bar for a few hours after work and on thier days off, they usually end up hanging out for at least 2 hours. It gets quite old and annoying.

my hubby has only one good friend and he sees him probably once every 6 months if that. he will stay over there and have a boys night in playing video games and getting drunk. Other than that I am lucky - he never goes out

i agree , depends on relationship or or how he is..my husband is home a lot, he works all week, and sometimes on weekends too..he just hasnt had much of a chance to hang out with friends, if he does, its like fishing for the day, once in a great while..or just going over to have a beer couple times a wk for an hour.but it varies, and sometimes we hang out with friends together too..

I think it depends on the relationship...I have a friend and her husband doesn't go out at all...but my hubbie spends anywhere from 2 hours to 15 hours with his...just depends on whats going on...if I go out shopping, he will go play golf all day with the guys.

LOL thats funny how you said it was probably by some guy hoping to hang out that much. Anyways my man doesnt even hang out with his friends. So Im glad I dont have that problem but 10 hours is way too much. At least thats my opinion. I dont even think he needs to see his friends everyday or every other day. How often does he see them? weekends? or how many days of the week?
