Anyone that has had a child...Were you not dilated, had a soft cervix but was still long, did you happen to still go into labor within that week?

Debra - 72 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you can be dilated for a long time and it doesn't mean anything. Have a look at my VIP site for more- but I had a midwife and I was glad she didn't check me. She told me that it makes NO difference except to create anxiety. Your body will go into labour when it wants too and its ok to go overdue as long as you are induced by about 2 weeks overdue. I was 6 days overdue when i went into labour. I had no idea how soft I was. I took evening primrose oil (a natural prostiglandin responsible to help your cervix to soften and dilate) around 39 weeks. I took 4 caps orally and 4 caps inserted next to my cervix every night. I went into labour at 8am and by 9am the next day had a baby delivered by emerg c/s (he was breech). Still I got to 10cm and it wasn't too bad. More on my VIP site for tips on labor and dilating faster, natural tips on going into labor etc.

Mommyof2boys - 72 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You can have sa soft cervix for weeks before you go into labor also the other way around you can be dilated a couple cm but no soft cervix for weeks. It all depends on what your body does. good luck!

mattie4 - 72 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) honestly this is one of those answers that go in the direction of everyone is different. It could take you weeks, week, or even days. Not only is everyone different...but each pregnancy is different. Good luck, the last weeks are the HARDEST.

NumberFive - 72 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) no u usually dialte a leat a wk b4 but not always everyoneis different

Baby3OnWay - 72 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My friend had a baby just before my first about 2 1/2 years ago and she went over due nearly two weeks... they ended up having to induce her!

leanie093 - 72 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i wish i went into labor on my own. once i saw my doc every week, she'd check every other week to see if i'd dilated. PFTTTT, my cervix was soft but NO dilation. I went past my due date, one week, doc checked me and STILL NO dilation. I told her you are calling the hospital TODAY and scheduling me in for induction. I couldn't take being pregnant anymore. So i was induced and we pretty much had to FORCE little man inside me to come out.If you hit your due date & still 0 cm, if you're sick of being pregnant being induced is the next best thing. good luck
