I`m a mail clerk at a insurance company and every morning i have to go to the post office to pick up the mail well somedays its a bit heavier than usual. how much is too much to lift??

skittles0607 - 84 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its ok to lift if you were doing it before you became pregnant. just dont lift to much over to what you can handle.. I used to work in a nursing home and had to lift the patients all the time. As I was nearing my 30th week I stopped lifting. I just dealt with little things.. Be careful..

Baby3OnWay - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) They say not to do more work then you noramll y did before you got pregnant! I lifted about 40-50lb bags and boxes during my last pregnancy and had no troubles until i was about 28 weeks. Your body will tell you when its had enough so take your time and keep your self hydrated. If you don't feel comfortable doing it then don't! Take care and remember to life with your legs NOT YOUR BACK!

Debra - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) your body will tell you what is too much. Im an RN and towards the third trimester- i had a hard time lifting adults without a lift. I had to insist on help. I felt my muscles around my abdomen strain a few times, my back get sore and my baby give me a kick. I knew it was time to stop. I'd say not to carry anything heavier than a 3-4 year old child- so about 35-40lb

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My doctor says no more than 25-30 lbs. Even that may be too much if you feel that it is a strain on your body or if it causes pain. And that weight she gave is for lifting, not carrying it. Like at my work, I may pick up a UPS package to set it on the counter, but no way am I carrying it up the stairs! Check with your doctor and see what he/she recommends for you to be lifting.

lilbittymunchkin - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my doc told me not to lift anything heavier than 2 gallons of milk at a time. but it depends on you if you feel safe lifting more than go ahead but if you feel it is to much dont be afraid to ask for help. i know this now because i lifted to much during my second pregnancy and i had a M/C so if i have doubts i ask for help.

christina1984 - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) really it depends on u. my job had involved lifting and it was too much then. if u get pains during or after lifting then its too much. i would get sharp pains and sometimes cramps. my 3 yr old keeps wanting me to pick her up lately and at 26 wks i just cant do it, it kills me. u can also ask ur doc and see what they recommend is too much
