when does a dotor typically set a date for a c secton if youre pregnant with twins...ive been seeing my doc every 2 weeks now suddenly he gives me an appointment 5 weeks from now...im 28 weeks!!!hes told me im a definite c section, but before we knew that he told me to be ready for these babies to come before 34 weeks since ive got a history of premature labour...so im wondering will he schedule it like a singelton at like 38 weeks, or 36 weeks when most twin moms go into labour, or earlier cause he doesnt think ill last that long...not knowing whats going on is driving me bonkers...

He will see you then at 33 weeks and probably go from there depending on your body and how you are handling everything. he may scedule you for the week after he sees you or wait another few weeks. You never do know and although the waiting game is no fun I trust your Dr knows whats best for you and your twins. I wish you all the best!

I was scheduled at 36 weeks when they were going to do mine I've had a previous c-section so thats why they are doing it this time. If he doesn't think you are going to make it full term it seems like he would monitor you closely and then go off of how you are doing to see how far you can get and then do a c-section.

I think you should call your doctors office and ask the receptionist if she/he knows if you've been scheduled for surgery. The doctor may think you know already and just forgot to tell you- either way- it sounds like your doctor isn't communicating well with you. Have you thought about having a DOULA to help you? They can be hired to help after birth as well- and some may even be able to come into the delivery room too. At the very least, ask lots of questions and make sure you get answers. Make sure your partner knows whats going on too and is advocating for you and your care. Come and read my VIP site for info on recovering from c/s. Good luck!
