yes that is probably why your stomach was so hard. even if you arent pregnant you will notice that your stomach tends to harden when your intesines are working hard. but even if it wasnt your system, your stomach is going to harden and soften throughout the whole pregnancy. mine still does and i am 39 weeks. in the morning i notice it is much softer then at night. and very hard after i have eaten. good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and know that it is very normal!!

My tummy was pretty soft until I started to show a bit more- around 16-18 weeks. Until then, i just really looked and felt like i had extra tummy fat- and i was nice and soft.

Don't worry. In the beginning your tummy may feel hard some days and soft others. It took until about 4 or 5 months for my belly to feel more firm. And heck if you think your belly is firm then wait until Braxton Hicks and you will feel a bowling ball in your tummy it is crazy! So no there is nothing to worry about. Everything is still too small to be felt constantly right now

It may take a while for your tummy to harden. I would say that the gas and such is the reason it was hard before. A friend of mine still didnt really have a hard tummy the last time I saw her, when she was around 19 weeks.
