My baby have been passing more stool then normal lately... by a few diapers a day. Is it normal for them to go more often the old they get?

MzMommy2B - 54 days ago How do you know if it is diarrhea or not? It confuses me because his stool is always very very loose, and a greenish color. It is not the consistency of water, but pretty close at times

Baby3OnWay - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) YES and also if their diets change, they eat more at once then they did before... breastfed babies tend to stool nearly after every feeding!! WOOW! as long as they aren't constipated or diareah you should be fine!

Debra - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it is especially if he's drinking more and maybe having a growth spurt- which occurs around 7/8 weeks. As long as its not looking like water and it actually has substance to it- don't worry about it. If he's breastfed, it will slow down for a few months as well until you start feeding solids. Their pooping slows as their digestive system matures and they start absorbing more from the breastmilk.

christina1984 - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes it is to an extent because they are taking in more breastmilk or formula. now if its all day long or more then u think is normal then i would call the doc. the more they take in the more they let out lol

Julianna - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wouldn't worry about it unless the baby has fewer stools! I know this is going to sound gross, but as long as they look normal......it's fine :)
