my lil girl has a really bad raw spot on each side of her tata. it is so bad it almost looks as if it wants to bleed. i just switched her formula from goodstart to similac bc the doctor is too lazy to keep writing prescriptions for it. i have caked destin on it but it doesnt seem to be helping. what do i do?

jen - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i don't know exactly where you are talking about, but my son had raw spots on each side of his goodies close to his leg crease. It was caused by ill fitting diapers and once I changed that, the problem went away. If the sore is right on her goodies, then make sure to keep her clean and dry. Try cornstarch baby powder to keep her dry and help absorb excess moisture.

kathleen - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) believe it or not but it could be due to her teething as it can make some babies urine stronger causing parts on the body in the Nappie to be very sore, raw looking, blisters, looking like it would bleed. instead of wiping with baby wipes just use water and cotton wool push your doc to look at it to get the proper cream

Debra - 84 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) if you are breast feeding at all- you can try taking acidophilous which will help if its a yeast infection. Dry the area really well- use a blow dryer after a daily shower. Wash her only with water and then blow her dry. Make sure there is no moisture in her cracks and the diaper is fitting well. It should have room to move too- so you may want to go up a size if she is hitting towards the top of the weight of the current diaper she's using. I use a baby bum butter- baby bottom better. Its all natural. you can order from the web- www.mother-earth.ca

Baby3OnWay - 84 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) canestin!! the cream for yeast infections... its the same ointment that the Drs prescribe as I found out with my Daughter... Rub it in completely 2-3 times a day until its gone. You will notice results within a few hours PROMISE!!!

mpwifeyofsoontobefour - 84 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) try some cornstarch....no I am not kidding worked with my daughter great.

monica9 - 84 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you can try aquaphor. My sister swears its the only thing that works!!

masha - 84 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) i use good start and i just buiy it at the store, no prescription. my daughter had a really bad raw rash too. i asked my pharmacist and she said if its raw, u should use polysporin to heal it. if its just a rash, then regular diaper cream or hyrocortisen.

Julianna - 84 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is VERY possible she has a yeast infection. I think the Dr needs to look at her & see if that is the problem. My little Nicholas had that and as soon as we got him on some meds & prescription diaper creme he cleared right up!
