Debra - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Did you ingest any caffeine? or were you dehydrated? that can make BH come on more. Drink water if you get these again. BH are actually a response to you being dehydrated. You uterus becomes irritated and contracts in response. Change your position and move around. If you STILL feel BH then you can be in labor. Labor contractions feel much stronger than BH. They are more painful as well and feel like menstrual cramps. Instead of the contractions originating from the top of your abdomen and working down (BH), Labor contractions usually originate from your back and work their way to the front of your abdomen. Measuring is not a science and your doctor can be off. As are u/s. They are not accurate for predicting weight. 27 weeks or 31 weeks, these are still WAY too early for baby to come and you need to stay hydrated and keep that baby cooking still! See my VIP site for more info on labor, contractions, encouraging labor (at 39 weeks), pregnancy tips, breastfeeding tips and baby care.

shootinstarzzz - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) everyone carries babies different in thier body, if ur lil one is measuring big for her size the doctor will prob want to do an u/s to check and make sure she is not getting too big, if ur diabetic or have a family history of having big babies then it would make you measure bigger, when I was pregnant the doctor scared me saying i was measuring too small and that if the baby stopped growing they wanted to take him by c/s early so off I went after 3 days of worrying myself sick that my poor baby was too small to get my u/s where we discovered I was measuring small cuz he was breech and sitting straight up in me with his behind on my cervix..he was perfect size for the week he was at. I also had alot of braxen hicks but mine hurt, everyone is different and some woman are blessed and dont feel pain like others but I would say ...you will for sure know ur in labor, it feels like you have to go number two and you have bad bad bad stomach cramping, you will feel great pressure and it feels like you gotta go but it's the baby's head pushing on ur cervix which causes you to feel this. hugs and dont ever ever feel any question is not worth asking or calling ur doctor, that's what the nurse are there for, call ur doctor and ask away, doctors are used to us moms asking questions and the nurse are used to it too, they prob have had the same question asked and they are usually really nice and will answer any question.

christina1984 - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) if its painless then there is no need to worry. if u have strong pain severe cramps or the contractions get stronger more frequent and closer together then call the doc right away

thebablet - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Interesting - I write my periods down so I knew the exact date of my last period when my doctor asked me on my first OB visit. He did a sonogram & according to their calculations I was further along. All I can imagine is the baby's growing fast & is really healthy. I'm no doctor but looking on the bright side you might have a beautiful baby with a full head of hair with great skin when he/she's born. You might deliver early which again I'm no doctor and could be totally wrong but it that is the case, I don't know about you but I'm ready freddy - if the baby's ready too & wants to deliver early then praise the lord!!!

suzanne7210 - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You need to worry. I have had 16 in one hour and have been in an out of hospital for last few weeks. I was given steriods to develop babies lungs. The contractions don't hurt but the doctor said they could eventually dialate you and your little one will come to early. Just call your doctor so they can monitor you.

Baby3OnWay - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I say its normal and not to worry but this is my third and I feel the Bh more often then the others... I say if you are worried theres no harm in calling your Dr just to be safe! You want to rule out preterm labor and other problems.

lilbittymunchkin - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) not to scare you but when i was 27 weeks my BH turned out to be real labor. so just to be safe i would call you doctor or go to the hospital and get checked because your baby might have moved into the birth canal. and if it helps my pains were painless too except for some dull back pain.

youngmumof2 - 69 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) Hi i to have the same problem i am 33 wks "hospital dates" but messuring 39 wks big diffrents i had a growth scan and they told me she was 36wks and alreay weighs over 6lb i asked if they would change my dates but they just said its proberly just a big baby and are going to leave my dates so im confussed to i was late with my other 2 and dont want this baby to be in here longer then she has to but its very unlikly they will change your dates they say your 12wk and 20 wk scans are the ones to go by good luck and all the best

vikki - 69 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) If YOU are worried, call the Doctor. There is certainly nothing wrong with checking. BUT it sounds like they are normal braxtons to me. And yes I think that they could be wrong about the dates. NOT THE FIRST time that has happened. One of my boys, i was hospitilised for rest at Apparently 32wks and a midwife came in on new sift felt my belly and said This child is ready to come, your what 39 -40wks?! When I corrected her, she said, oh no, I think they have mucked your days up! And she was right. I was born a couple of weeks later VERY OVER done! ( very dry skin) SO yes the dates could be wrong but that won't hurt anything as baby will come when baby is readyLOL.Of course at 27wks it would be good to hold on to baby for a few more weeks. I think you will though and that these are just your "practice contractions" they can start as early as 25wks! I had them regularly for 4 mths. If you feel that you need some reassurance, then I would see your Doc'. Good luck.:-) HUGS
