Hi guys, i have read that you can feel the baby having hiccups from quite early on.......i am 26wks tomorw and just wonfered if someone can describe to me what it feels like.... i mean i think i have felt it but then again have i lol

Baby3OnWay - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) jump, jump, vibrate vibrate... goes on for a while!! put you hand on your tummy and imagine someone with hicups and you'l know!! haha i think its so cute!

laural6531 - 103 days ago Hey just got the relpy from Debra and the last time i was at the docs she said that my baby was head down.......and thats more of the feeling i am getting like a little bounce happens maybe 3/4 times and then stops i reckon thats the one i am looking for :o}

laural6531 - 103 days ago Thanks Guys for your quick answers it very much appreciated :o} yeah i have felt a little heart beat pulse right above my pubic bone a cpl of times,but i have also felt this little thump......feels like the whole baby is jumping around maybe happens a cpl of times in a day do you reckon that this feeling is likely to be hiccups......it's mental feeling all the different types of movements and stuff but very confusing at the same time lol (especially if this is your first baby i think) :o} i sometimes wish they could do the movements on the outside of your belly (i mean a doc or someone like that) so you know exactly what to look for.......it's just a bit confusing at times and believe you me it's not taking much to confuse me at the minute lol :o} thanks girls!!!!!

Debra - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It feels like bouncing. If baby is head down then you will feel some banging against your pelvic bone. Otherwise hiccups feel very rhythmic and can be very quick and short. They are very different from BH or other movements.

lindamc - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's a steady rhythm in your tummy. It's such a great feeling.

shootinstarzzz - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hehehe, my baby having hiccups always made me laugh, my boyfriend would put his hand on my belly and just smile. it feels like a tiny lil movement, like a lil bump, softer than a kick or a lil arm moving...this is kinda cool. babies hiccup cuz that's how they learn to breathe, it helps devolop thier lungs so they are ready when they are born..this is nasty but a baby will gulp the fluid then pee it out so they are drinking thier own pee which is sterile and not really pee, it's just the fluid surrounding them, so when you feel the hiccups know that ur baby is gulping the fluid and his/her lil lungs are getting ready to be able to breathe for them, my son had the hiccups all the time, hard hiccups and we laugh, that kid has lungs, he was c/s and came out screaming and screamed all the way to the nursery, the whole hospital was talking about the newborn baby with the lungs and could not belive such a tiny baby could scream so loud and for so long. it's amazing how this tiny person grows in our bellies and the things they do.

Its-Chelle - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ohhh i miss the hiccups..lol..yeah just consistent little bumps or pulses..i used to love watching my belly move each time, but yeah it does get annoying, i felt so bad for my son..

michaela - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i used to feel a regular pulse down below when my daughter got hiccups. I think the key thing about hiccups is taht they happen really regularly.

corrin - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you will know..just like anyone getnig the hiccups it has a little jump to it...but its inside you!!lol...sounds dumb but when your baby has them youw ill know what they are..!! Mine had the hiccups alll the time prob like at least 5x a day...it was annoying after awhile!!! and he still gets them alot now that hes here but they are not so annoying anymore...they just sound painful for him!!!

amandapmills - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it feels like a pulse.... at first i kept thinking that the baby was just kicking, but then it dawned on me that its hiccuping. it'll be a about the same pattern, they are usually very faint. you'll be able to distinguish it from a kick once you feel it for the first time

christina1984 - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) im 27 wks. its kinda like a heartbeat. u feel little pulses every minute or so andd they can last up to 20 minutes. its a steady pattern. it does start around 25 26 wks cuz the baby takes in amniotic fluid so u most likely are feeling them. its a good thing tho cuz that means the baby is trying to develope its lungs

jessicadarling - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Do you ever get that twitch in your eyelid that just won't go away. You can just feel the constant twitching and not stop it? Well that is how I describe the hiccups in the belly. At first I thought it was totally cute, then my daughter got them like 4 times a day for 15 to 20 minutes. All it is, is a gentle twitch or throbbing but I got a little annoyed after a while haha just like I do with an eye twitch.
