Its probably the attachment she has on you... if shes hungry she will eat. Try slowing weening her off instead of just trying to do an automatic switch. I never had problems so i concider myself lucky but I heard it can be a hard transition for some!

I thought you didn't want to wean your baby! She may also be sensing that your hesitancy to do this too! Try giving her your breastmilk in a bottle first and have your husband or someone other than you give it to her. Don't try this at a big feeding time like first thing in the morning or last thing at night. Try it at a time when she is really happy too! Keep breastfeeding her though as much as possible! I got some pamphlets in the mail from my local health office and it included a sample menu for a 6 month old- it goes as follows: Early morning-breastfeed, breakfast- Cereal 1tsp-4tbsp (mixed with BM,Formula or water), Morning snack- breastmilk, Lunch- Breastmilk, 1tsp-4tbsp pureed or mashed fruit, 1tsp-4tbsp pureed chicken or other meat, Afternoon snack- Breastmilk, Supper- Breastmilk, 1tsp-4Tbsp pureed or mashed veggies, 1tsp-4tbsp pureed chicken or other meat. Evening snack- Breastmilk, 1tsp-4tbsp cereal mixed with water or formula.
*milk in a bottle also needs to be heated up initially to body temperature. Once baby is more used to a bottle, you can make it cooler and it won't matter. If you haven't introduced a bottle though before this stage of her life, it might be too late and she might never take it. I read that the best time to intro a bottle is between 4-8 weeks of age. Any sooner and it causes nipple confusion, later and they might not take it.

It could be the formula or it could be the change to a bottle, or both. See how she does with breastmilk in a bottle first, then slowly start adding formula and dropping the amount of breastmilk. With my son this process took about 2 weeks. You might also try Dad giving her the bottle as much as possible till you dry up since when you give it she can smell you and know's she wants the real goods.
Also don't be surprised if her eating drops some for a 2 or 3 days while she makes the adjustment, this is normal and will pick back up as she gets used to the bottle.
With some kids this works, with others it doesn't. It worked on my son at 8 months. But nothing worked with my daughter, she never took a bottle or formula of any kind and nursed till she was 13 months old, Then I had to do the milk mixing thing in a cup till she got used to cow's milk and finally gave up breastmilk all together.

See if its the taste of the breastmilk that she wants or the habit of going onto your boob. Try by pumping your milk into a bottle. If thats the case, slowly ween her by mixing in some formula slowly until she has all formula. good luck and hope it helps.

i'm introducing my daughter to formula at the minute also, she is 6.5 months old. I got formula that ia akin to breast milk and have been giving her one bottle a day for the past 5 days. She has been taking it ok as long as it is warm enough, if it is too cool she wont touch it. i also have bottle which have a nipple similar to the boob! Just take it at her pace, good luck. xx

I doubt it is the formula. If she has been breastfed for quite some time then she isn't going to want to suck on a foreign nipple from a bottle. It will take some time
