Sleeping on your belly is not the best thing, if you wake up and know you are on it just change your position. sleeping on your left helps with blood flow and circulation

A few weeks ago I was always wanting to be on my stomach, then I got a pillow and put it on the side of me.. I havnt layed on my stomach since. I know that sleeping on your left side is better because all of your organs are on your right side.. I preferred my right side with my other 2 pregnancies and they both turned out fine.. I guess just be comfortable..

YOu can sleep whichever way you want until you become too uncomfortable to do so. Your body will tell you and you will become faint if you are sleeping in the wrong position thats harming you and your baby. Laying on your back or right side when your uterus is too big cuts off blood flow to your aorta (the large artery that carries blood to your legs). It also decreases blood flow to your uterus, cutting off blood flow to baby. As I said, you will know and you will become uncomfortable. I slept on my right side/tummy until I was about 32 weeks.

You can get a great pregnancy pillow at Toys R Us. It a a big 'c' shape and stops you from rolling onto your back or stomach. Left side is best, because your liver is on your right and when you sleep on the left, it works the best because there is no pressure on it, causing your circulation to be better.

try huggin a pillow, or body pillow or pregnancy pillow it may help you stop going on your belly.
You need to try and prevent yourself going on your tummy. The left side is better for blood flow to the baby, but either side is better than your tummy.

you shouldnt sleep on stomach or back starting around where you are (24 weeks is about the time your uterus is even with your kidneys and can put pressure on them). If you sleep on stomach/back you are putting pressure on your organs and spine, making it hard for your baby to get the oxygen that they need. The right side is fine to sleep on. There has been contraversy b/c some say b/c there is a major vein that travels from your brain down to your leg on that side and sleeping on that side can put pressure on it resulting in lack of oxygen to baby. the left side is ideal b/c its the best blood flow and actually lowers your blood pressure. it took me forever to sleep on my sides instead of my back but eventually i go used to it. good luck

Im not sure if it hurts the baby on your stomach but sleeping on your left side helps the blood circulate to the baby. Theres also nothing wrong with sleeping on your right side. You should get one of them maternity body pillows.. I got one 3 days ago and its so comfortable and I sleep so much better now. Sleeping flat on your back isnt too good either since the uterus puts pressure on a nerve in your back and thats when you get the back and tail bone pain.

my doctor said she has known women who sleep on their stomachs their entire pregnancy. IF your body wasnt able to sleep on it's stomach you would stop rolling on to it. Left side is best for blood flow but that does not mean you can't sleep on your right side. The back isn't the best idea just because of blood flow but I ALWAYS rolled onto my back and woke up with numb arms and legs!! But do not worry about your tummy sleeping.

Left side is best if you can. You won't hurt your baby by tummy sleeping. Your body will tell you when you shouldn't tummy sleep anymore. I agree that a body pillow may help

they say sleep on ur left side cuz it allows for the baby to have better circulation.im not sure if it hurts the baby to sleep on ur stomach but i think maybe it squishes the baby. but u figure the baby is well cushioned and protected in there

if u have a pretty big belly already, you are putting pressure on the baby. actually u are putting pressure on the amniotic sac which puts pressure on the baby. you should reallllly try to quit doing that. i was hugh when i was preg. my suggestion to you is to get a body pillow and sleep with that between your legs and u will stay on one side. i've heard that u should sleep on the left but.. i think either side is fine
