Hey girls! I am in my 17th week and was wondering if anyone else has experienced pain in thier teeth during pregnancy. I`ve read that your gums can bleed and become sore but my gums look and feel healthy. I just feel like my teeth are almost a little loose and hurt if I apply any pressure. Thanks for your help!

Baby3OnWay - 107 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its all due to hormonal changes Make an appointment with the dentist to have things hecked and for a good cleaning! Till then hang in there and take care

If you aren't getting enough calcium from your diet, your baby will just take it from you anyway, absorbing it from your teeth and bones = weak bones and teeth. I recommend then taking an extra supplement twice daily depending on the dosage.

Debra - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You want to take an extra dose of daily calcium. Your gums/teeth will be more sensitive too b/c of the hormones and extra blood-flow. However- the symptoms you are describing sound like a calcium deficiency. If you aren't getting enough calcium from your diet, your baby will just take it from you anyway, absorbing it from your teeth and bones = weak bones and teeth. I recommend then taking an extra supplement twice to three times daily depending on the dosage on the bottle. I take Jamesion brand with magnesium and had similar symptoms about a month after birth. I craved dairy during pregnancy but not after and the needed daily calcium intake stays the same during pregnancy and afterwards if breastfeeding (3-4 servings a day). The supplements took care of the weak teeth feeling after about 2-3 weeks. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/food-guide-aliment/basics-base/serving-portion_e.html

monica9 - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yeah. b/c of the increase in blood flow, you will feel more sensitivity in your gums and teeth. no worries!!

christina1984 - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my gums bleed and have blood bubbles. its very common. my doc said its cuz we have an extra supply of blood now. my one tooth around the gums is so painful. one woman on here told me there is some red stuff (cant remember the name of it) that will stop the pain and bleeding. it is sold near the listerine and stuff

Julianna - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Use Sensodyne Toothpaste. Your hormonal changes & encreased bloodflow can make teeth & gums sensitive.

lilbittymunchkin - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) oragel has worked for me. i put a little bit on the gum near the tooth that was hurting and the pain went away
