im 15 weeks pregnant is it safe enough to dye my hair

Baby3OnWay - 1365 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) make sure your in a wel ventilated room first off and be aware that due to hormone changes the colour may not turn out to be what you expect and may change the feel and look of your hair. They usually say don't do it though!

I did lots of reading about this when I got pregnant and found that there were no studies that could say outright that they found any pregnancy/birth related problems in connection with hair dye. I've been going to my colorist since I was 9 weeks pregnant and my baby is just fine. Just don't inhale the amonia directly and you'll be fine.

I went to a well ventilated salon with a hairdresser that knew I was pregnant, and I got a full head of foils rather than have the dye touch my scalp directly. It might come out a slightly different shade than you'd expect, and it might not take as well as before. It it safe though.

lulizzle - 1367 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes its totally fine! The only thing I noticed when I did mine tho is that the dye doesn't "take" as well. It faded rather quickly and I dye my hair religously and never had that problem until now. My preggo books say that our hair is so different right now anything like that may not hold well.

flowergirl0778 - 1367 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi, i asked my midwife whether it is ok to dye my hair at my first appointment and she said yes. It is completely safe. She also said if i go to a hairdressers to dye it then i need to tell them i am pregnant. I havent dyed my hair yet though. Ask your midwife, i am sure she will say it is fine.
