I went to the dr. and he measured me with a tape measurer, and said I was measuring 30 weeks, when according to my LMP I am only 24 weeks. What does this mean? am I 24 or 30?

Baby3OnWay - 144 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) your 24 unless an ultrasound says other wise. Its not uncommon to measure ahead and if you Dr doesn't seem to concerned i wouldn't worry about it for now! Increased amniotic fluid can be an indication of a problem but not always

mayasmom - 145 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would ask for an ultrasound to measure your amniotic fluid, as this can be a sign of a problem with the baby.

skittles0607 - 145 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would stay with the 24.. Baby may just be big right now. you may catch up in the next coming weeks.. There could be many factors causing you to measure ahead.. Extra fluid or baby had a growth spurt..

JennSever - 145 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) stick w/ the 24 but be mindful that your baby might be overtly large. OR the baby is having a large growth spurt and might level off and not get too much bigger. its a hard call. some women also have lots of amniotic fluid making the uterus measure larger. u/s are not good indicators of a babies true size. it could be a multitude of reasons why you are measuring larger. don't worry though if your baby is growing fine.

chiquiz8 - 145 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it can just mean you will have a large baby 8lbs or more, but that is just an estimate but dont worry too much just eat good and take care dont stress too much over that.

youngmumof2 - 146 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi i am 34 wks and messure 40 wks had a growth scan and they told me she was 36wks and already weighed over 6 1/2lb but they told me its not my dates it just a big baby my last baby was 10lb so im guessing they are just right as long as your 12wk and 20wk scan was ok it might just be a big baby all the best.

athome - 146 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 24 weeks. The measurements only provide a guide and its not an exact science so dont pay too much attention to it.

mcbender3 - 146 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sometimes the way the baby is lying it can change the way your stomach measures. When I was 23 weeks I measured 23 weeks, then at my next appointment I was 28 weeks but only meausred 24 then at my 32 week appointment I measured 35 weeks. So it varies. I got an u/s and my dd is the same and all my baby's measurements are right on track. So it does depend on the way the baby is lying.
