Hi all, I am still deciding on what type of mattress to get for my little one when she is born. Any opinions on foam Vs Innerspring?

Baby3OnWay - 100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Innerspring

Mommy2twogreatkids - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) We purchased the inner spring from serta. It was not the most expensive but the firmest to me. and Hypoallergenic as well.

flutterbylovebump - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wondered the same thing when we bought our bub's mattress... I asked the salesperson in the shop (Mothercare), which was the best (not neccessarily the most expensive!) for a newborn, I was told the firmer mattress. We got a firm foam mattress, which has a great anti- allergy cover on it. I think it has to be firm to support their growing body/ back, & reduces suffocation risk.

chiquiz8 - 101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i dont know much about mattress but dr. recommended us a flat mattress like a simmons crib mattress, i dont think a foam mattress will do it, cause the baby needs to be laying on a hard surface i mean not hard hard like floor hard but flat hard so she wont suficate or something, i dont think foam is the best for a newborn, but you can always ask dr. i use simmons and they are quite comfortable, very durable.
