Preterm labor

Hey everyone. I am currently 31 almost 32 weeks and I had to go to the hospital last week because they thought I was going into labor. I was having all the signs but instead of having contractions every few minutes it was a constant pain. So in reality it was worse then labor. I was there for an hour before they told me that I may just have a bladder infection. They were not sure if this was what it was and then they released me with medication for the infection. I am now finished with the medicine and the pain has just started back again in the last few days. this time it is coming and going and is not as intense. I don`t want to go back to the hospital for nothing but I am worried that it may be something differnt. On top of this I just found out I am anemic. I think that I may have the baby early because of all the recent issues. Does any one have advice or had this happen to them?

1busymamma - 142 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If your pain is consistent and getting closer then go to the doctor orr emergency room! I went into preterm labor four times and I always felt a fool for going in but it was always worth it, go just to be on the safe side

Baby3OnWay - 142 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had an infection during pregnancy that far long as well and the meds did nothing for me. I would go in to get checked out but it may just be added pressure from the babys position and all the extra weight that you have! I know it sucks but hang in there your almost done with this pregnancy

corrin - 142 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had preterm labor starting at 29 weeks..i cant tell you how many times i went in the hospitol for stay and got sent home...all the nurses knew me and when i finally had the baby they were all excited i lasted so long...38 weeks ...got induced because i was sick of being pregnant and i had so many problems and i was already 4 cm and 90% effaced!!!! So i would go just to be on the safe side!!!

jessicadarling - 142 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Do not avoid going to the hospital in fear of having nothing happening. I had to go to the hospital for some minor contractions that i was having at 33 weeks. I told them I wasn't sure if I should come in and have to be told there was nothing wrong. My doctor said "it is better to be safe than sorry. Bad thing happens when women think it's nothing, don't come in and then it is too late" So do it for yourself, for your baby and your piece of mind. Also I had preterm labour contractions starting at 33 weeks and they were daily since then. BUT I DIDN'T GO EARLY. I was 6 days overdue haha

vikki - 142 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes I have had this happen with ALL of mine! Faulse labours all the time. BUT it's better to go as you don't know which will "take". If you contractions get 5 mins apart then you MUST GO! I guess it also depends how far you are from the hospital. If your anemic, don't panic, just go to your pharmacy and get iron tablets. They will be able to tell you which ones. I had anemia with all mine. Eat plenty of steak, apricots, potato with the skin on, spinich, brocoli. All these are great for iron content.
