ok, heres the deal, i was using that Palmers Cocoa butter on my hips and back because ive started to get stretch marks in those areas, but i started getting a rash, almost like burns on my skin from it. My doctor says i must be allergic to something in the formula. But i was just wondering is there anything else you can use for stretch marks that wont cost an arm and leg? :/

sassybuttaphly - 137 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i use Bio-oil. it really works!! my stretch marks has faded

prittigrl01 - 137 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'd use petrolium jelly. Really anything that keeps the skin soft and wet will work. When the skin is dry and unmoistened is when the stretch marks come.

dvsrunt - 137 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Stretch marks are hereditary. (at least that is what my doctor says). And if your mother has them, there is a good chance that you will have them too. She also said that if you have stretch marks on your body from weight loss/gain that it's a good chance you could get them during pregnancy. She said that lotion can help but will not completely prevent them from happening. Sorry. I dont have them on my belly, just my hips. I have heard that olive oil is great for your skin though.

christydk - 137 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hello! I'm writing from Europe. I am using Palmers too but I have also bought The Body Shop - Body Butters in Coco Butter, Coconut and Papaya I think it was. I don't know if they have that there in the USA? My Mum is Danish and over here in Denmark they use Olive Oil! You don't need much, it's cheap, healthy and exactly the same as the expensive pregnancy oils out there! My Mum has the most amazing skin NO STRETCH marks and soft as a baby's...honestly! Try it and see, it's super cheap and it must be worth a go! - Also try taking a fish oil capsule too, that'll help you on the inside (that's what my danish midwife advised anyway!) Good Luck honey!

agonzales - 138 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well I think the stretch marks will come no matter what you use but right now Im using bio oil.

andrea1222 - 138 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Vitamin E oil. I used EVERYTHING possible and nothing helped. There really is no preventing them but keeping your skin moisturized makes it easier. Good luck

christina1984 - 138 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) bio oil is supposed to be the best. im using palmers but im gonna go buy that now. its like $11 at target and u can also find it at CVS, Walgreens and eckerds
