can anyone tell me what are the early signs of labour and how long it lasted till you went in to active labour? ive been having really bad back pain and period cramps for days now and want to know when its going to all start.

But about 2wks ago my midwife made me go for a non-stress test and turns out the last few days i had been really contracting and im thinned out and 1cm dilated. For the past wk or so ive had period like cramps and sharp pains too

andrea1222 - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had early signs of labor starting at 6 months along, it came and went, and it was painful. some people just have worse braxton hicks contractions than others...you will "just know" when you are really going into labor. Time your cramps

kbushby - 104 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) thats like how it went for me. i was having annoying period cramping and back pains.. i had dialated another cm so i had my midwife break my water and just get things going. but i think i would have been going into labor the next day or couple of days if we didnt break my water. so probably any day now for you!
