Okay here is my issue... My sister called me yesterday, and she told me that she was planning a trip to mexico on a cruise... I will be 30 weeks tommorow and I am due to have my lil girl in the beginning of Aug. She has planned this trip on Nov. 14th so that means that the baby will only be like 3 months and a few weeks... I plan on breastfeeding but have always had a really hard time with it. My milk never really came in when I had my son so I dont know how it will go this time. I feel like she will be to little to leave even if the breastfeeding doesnt work out. It is only a 3 day cruise and we only take one all adult vacation per year and my poor hubby had been working really hard with our bussiness to make ends meet because I am not working right now..... lord knows he deserves a break!!! What do you girls think??? To soon to go even for that shot period of time??? Thanks for your help!!! : )

pageantmommie - 135 days ago Thanxs for all of your helpful advice you all brought up really good points. I really feel better about making a choice soon!

blessedmom - 136 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) It's always hard to leave the baby behind, not matter the amount of time. I am a mom of soon four and I am only learning now to let go and take time for myself, I realize that it makes me a better mom for it. I have more patience with the little ones. As for breastmilk not coming in , take brewers yeast at least 4 to 5 tabs every meal and 4 right after delivering with a prenatal vitamin. I had the same problem as you, I did that and my milk was in within the day after I delivered. If you decided to go that might help!Good Luck!

littlecavalier - 136 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) My son is 8.5 months and I have so much anxiety about even leaving him for a few hours. I know it's not healthy, but I can't help it. It is so important to actively work on your marriage also and it might be nice to get a little break and a decent nights sleep. Maybe you could plan a trip for just you and your husband when your baby is a little older?

amazingally1974 - 136 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) you should definately go on the mini break, 3 days isnt long!!

kimmarie - 136 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I personally wouldn't go. I couldn't imagine leaving my baby even if it is only for a few days breastfeeding or not. Good luck ~ I know it's a tough decision.

klasnaya - 136 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) It might be hard depending on the baby but i would say go for it! Just bring a pump and pump all you can. I had to do that just to have enouph breastmilk! I never did get full my second time either but the pumping hellped get my milk up but i had to keep pumping! oh well good luck!
