Hey ladies, i have a question, i think this is more for the ladies that have already experianced losing there plug, and have had there first baby. i had an appointment with my OB yesterday, and he checked my cervix to see if it was opening...he said nothing was happening yet, so we will check again next week. anyways, today i lost my plug...im not sure if it was all...i will have to wait and see. my question is, how soon after you guys lost your plug did you start to go into labour?? im not due for another 2 weeks...please comment! Thanks!!

dvsrunt - 135 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) Everyone is different but I lost mine with my first (at 31 weeks) and went into labor within hours. My second I lost it and went about a week later (I was on bedrest). Just make sure your bag is packed! It could happen any time! Good luck!

I ended up almost a week overdue and my water broke so I had to be induced. It's a good sign that your body is getting ready but it can be a very slow process. Good luck!!!!

vikki - 136 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) Oh it CAN "dribble" away over a few weeks or come just before. There is no "correct" time it moves away but you sound on track to me. This is your first I presume, so it all sounds good. It just gives you a heads up that time is coming very soon. 2 weeks to go isn't terrible. I ALWAYS go at least 2 weeks early. It's the breaking of water that you need to be on your toes about! :-)

I didn't lose mine all at once, I continued to lose it starting from 2 weeks before I went into labor until I had him at 38 weeks. So for me it was 2 weeks before labor. W/ the other 3, I must have lost it while I was in labor and didn't know it. Congrats to you!

amber9684 - 136 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) I lost my plug and was nervous becuase i was only 34 weeks and when i got to the hospital they said i was 3 cm dialated and 80% effaced, and when they hooked me up to the machines i was having contractions couldnt feel them tho. They tried stopping my labor for 2 days on the third they let me go, and she was born a few hours later!!!

candace3 - 136 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I lost my plug for my first one and my water broke 24 hours later. When preggers for my last one, I went in for an appointment and was just finger tip dialated, then went to the hospital that night and was dialated to a 4. then had my baby 6 hours later!! Sometimes, a dr checking your cervix can set things in motion. I would have some sex and walk and do squats like crazy if I were you, you just may be on your way!! Good Luck!

Mrs.M.H. - 136 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) Hey, how exciting! I went into labour and I hadn't even lost mine. I was a couple of days over due too. So, I can't say that there is any sure clue, my water didn't break either until I was in the delivery room and no one really worried about it either. I really have to say that it depends. I know of someone that is over due a week now and is 2cm and still not in labour. So, good luck and just enjoy, it'll happen.

corrin - 136 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) i lost mine and actually kept losing pieces...2 weeks went by and nothing...an supposedly my waters were bulging enough that the doctor wouldnt check me...so i did everything jumped ran skipped hopped bounced on a birthing ball...and nothing...i had to be induced...but its different for everyone....Goodluck...all i can say is enjoy it becaus i miss my tummy...not the uncomfortable part..but feeling the babes inside...it was great...but your almost there!!best wishes!!

Shellybela - 136 days ago Rating: 5 (2 votes) I actually lost my plug RIGHT before I went into hard labor...I had been having very slight contractions for maybe a half and hour prior to that. I have had two kids and with both of them I was in labor for less than two hours...I am very lucky!!!
