What`s your beauty plan for delivery day? Do you plan to go straight-up Diva... hair, makeup, nails, jewelry, bikini wax, etc? Or do you plan to be as natural as possible... chapped lips, fuzzy armpits, body odor, hair all over your head, etc? Do you care how you look on the video... cuz ya know hubby is gonna be all up in your face (and your Va-JJ) with that damn camera. LoL. For me, if I`m lucky enough to carry all the way to my due date, I`d like to get my hair done the day before... maybe get some extensions so on D-Day I can put it up into a cute ponytail or something. No nails because I dont wanna accidently claw the baby. No makeup because I dont wanna get that stuff on my baby`s skin. And I`ll be all sweaty and puffy anyway. Gotta get the eyebrows waxed so I wont scare the baby with my lovely uni-brow. I gotta get a pedi because my feet look better with cute toenails. Hubby says he`ll trim up my muff a bit... its so frickin hilarious to me that I can`t see or shave my own pubes cuz my belly`s so fat. LoL. So what`s your beauty plan for D-Day? Or what was it, if you already gave birth? Or did you plan to be all cute and MILF-like but the little booger came earlier than expected... and now you laugh everytime you watch your D-Day video cuz you look like a crazy woman. LoL. Please share :)

eastern-Canadian-Lady - 135 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) yah, I couldn't even read your whole post, LOL. I was laughing too hard. I wouldn't want my hubby who has seen me look my worst see me all fuzzy and gross, and I sure don't want to make the doctor puke int he delivery room. I will be clean and shaven as best as possible. My hair will likely be tied back, bc it will be summer, and I don't want my long hair to stick to my skin. That would just make me mroe uncomfortable. I use deodorant, but no nail polish. I hate my feet, so last time I even wore socks in the delivery room. ...k...now reading the rest of your post....k...now I am back...still alughing, LOL. Read the whole thing, between fits of laughter with h, he laughed too. jsut to let ou know, h mowed the lawn for me last time. I did what I could, then I asked him to do the rest. One of the things that helped me to stay positive during my last labour was that my ob/gyn had an intern. This guy spoke EXACTLY like Elmer Fudd. He spoke at length to me and I hardly understood a word. My hubby has a very strong sense of humour, so when the guy left the room, he looked at me with a smirk on his face and said "Wahaha, be vewy, vewy quiet. We'w hunting waskiwy wabbits. Wahaha." I burst out laughing so hard that the guy came back to ask if I was ok. I think he thought I was crying, and I certainly was, LOL. I was laughing so hard I was crying for about ten minutes.

MommaD - 136 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) 1st delivery 9 yrs ago, I looked a mess. I got scared and dashed for the hospital as soon as I got the first pain. Not this time! My hair will have pretty fresh highlights, I'll probably have it done a couple wks b4 due date. I never get my nails done, but I do paint them and the toes..that's a must. I never leave the house without makeup, so I'll have that on as usual. I'll probably go light with it since I'll be sweating it off. My main concern is making sure the "muff" is trimmed. I was watching some videos on u-tube of births and some women didn't take care of it...eww it was nasty. I told my hubby right then, he better make sure it's nice and neat. Oh, and I will be wearing my own gown. Don't forget to back those. I'm not spending 48 hrs in those terrible hospital gowns that tie in the back!

christina1984 - 137 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) well the 1st time my daughter came a wk and 1/2 earlier and it was 6am when i went to the hospital so i ended up there in my scooby doo pjs lol. the pain was so bad that i didnt care. my hair was a mess and i had no makeup on. this time i would like to look better then that but if i dont then so be it. honestly at that point in time with that pain u just dont care what u look like. of course after the birth i was trying to put on makeup and do my hair cause her dumb father had all his family coming in right after. i guess we are lucky if my legs are shaved considering i cant get to them now lol

JennSever - 137 days ago Rating: 1 (1 votes) oh you are so funny..if i go unexpectedly then what you see is what you get. if i get an induction date then yes, i will trim and stuff. hahahahahah...

athome - 137 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I worry more about how I "feel" on the day so I make sure I shave, dont want to be spiking myself in the legs LOL and use a good body lotion in the weeks before. I usually try to get my hair cut into an easy to look after style at about 35 weeks and get a pedicure and massage just so I feel nice. I take a "pep up" bag with me with some really nice face mist, moisturiser, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, cleanser and hand cream. These are more for after I have had bubs and have some time to shower and pep myself up while bubs is resting. This at least makes me feel a bit more presentable when people come and less like a "sick" person in hospital. I also get new PJ's and underware so its all new and special. ( TIP buy the cotton Nanna style undies from target, there not glamourous but you can throw them away when youve finished with them. get the ugly ones that come up over your tummy just incase you have to have a caesarian you dont want bikini briefs where the elastic will cut into the incision line and get a size or two larger than you were pre pregnancy your tummy WONT go back down immedately, no matter how much you want it to LOL. )

Jadedpoet - 137 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) Man I was actually thinking about this haha. My family likes to bust up in the hospital to see the baby and to see how the mama looks. :-( I plan to get a pedicure, it just makes me feel attractive for some reason. I plan to get my eyebrows done maybe a week or two before my due date(in case i'm early) but for the most part, I believe I'll be rocking a scarf or doo rag LOL. When I leave the hospital I'll have some lipstick and yes a wig LOL. I'll do the other go all out stuff after the baby is born and i'm released from the hospital. I can be in all of my Diva-ish glory pushing my baby in her beautiful stroller wearing the clothes I have been staring at for months LOL. As silly as it sounds I believe the more confident you feel in yourself the less chance of you getting the baby blues afterward. Treat yourself to a I just gave birth mommmy extravaganza..once you can pry away from those newborn baby eyes.:-)

mayasmom - 137 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) I had a hair appointment 4 days before my son was born and had some lovely highlights put in....looking back, the discomfort I felt during the appointment, that I refused to cancel, was premature labor. I had my son at 32 weeks. Funny thing is, as much as a train wreck that I looked, I got two compliments from hospital staff about my highlights! As for the rest, I agree with those who say you just don't care at that moment. I was so bloated from fluid there was little that makeup or anything else could have done to help me...

jessicadarling - 137 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) My birthday was a week before my due date so I asked for a pedicure for my birthday. So on my due date I went for a pedicure and I just had a feeling I would be overdue so the next day I spent like 2 hours in the tub shaving my legs, my armpits and the rest of time trying to angle myself so I could shave the lady bits. It is really really hard to do it yourself but I was able to complete the job. I went 6 days overdue so by the time i went into labour all razor burn was gone and I was just beginning to get a little stubble. It probably made it easier for the doctor rather than the forest I had before haha. Don't worry about your hair! I had numerous showers and I have naturally curly hair so my hair was all over the place. You honestly could care less once in labour what you look like. I was in labour for 25 hours, throwing up with every contraction and so inside myself that I don't really remember all too much. Looks were the last of my worries.

vikki - 137 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) Well all I can say is no matter how much you PLAN on looking decent, you FLAT WONT CARE when the time comes!!!!! BUT, I do make sure that I put my hair in plats close to the time so it's not in the way. That way too, when we get taken to our room and I have had a shower, I can then just take my hair out and it's all nice. I think if your hair is vaguely nice then you feel good and THAT is what shows. OH and a GOOD moisturiser. The hospital is a dry enviroment and your skin will thank you ALOT after all that huffing and puffing and maybe gas. keep your skin well moisturised coming up to your time too. (Something that should be done anyway but a bit extra is good) This is something that I'm rather keen on as this is my industry:-) Hope that helps. make sure you put a spare tub of your moisturiser in your hospital bag so you don't have to "remember" it.

mickyg0606 - 137 days ago Rating: 1 (1 votes) Labor is hard work, so no matter how pretty you go into it we will all look like death when it is over. I plan on going as natural a possible. With my first I was in labor for 28 hours and really didn't care what I looked like. Just wanted the baby out of me.

candace3 - 137 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) I will make sure my eyebrows are done...I have one huge caterpillar if I don't. No makeup...I will probably try to make sure I have shaved legs and nether regions...or trimmed nice I guess. It just makes me feel better to not be a "forest". I don't really care what the nurses and doctors think of it. I don't think I will be able to reach my toenails to paint them, I maybe will have one of my other girls do it.

lilbittymunchkin - 138 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) well i went into premature labor at 27 weeks so i had no time to get all pretty for the camera! i looked like i was just raised from the dead. lets just say that i could have looked better if i wasnt so early. good luck to you!

dssmonoka - 138 days ago Rating: 3 (1 votes) I will certainly get my toe nails done, and make sure my hair will be straightened up cuz if i dont i know my face will be hidden thanks to the puffy hairs i got. No make-up either, i dont think that eye liners & mascara will look pretty if i sweat or something lol

Julianna - 138 days ago Rating: 2 (1 votes) I didn't video tape the birth, but I did make sure I was a pretty as you can be, of course after contracting for 18 hours & being stuck in bed hooked up to every machine and IV pump possible, by the time he was actually delivered, I wasn't feeling very attractive..lol

wildberry - 138 days ago Rating: 5 (2 votes) i looked like a crazy woman lol i wonted to look good but that went out the window when i had so much to get done before he came out i started having contractions in the middle of the night and waited for hubby to wake up they wernt that bad so he went to work i trimmed my lady parts a few days earlier because i know he was coming soon the day he got here i feed my four year old cleaned the house(i had a home birth and wanted it to be really super clean) i ate and ran out of time to get pritty they went from this is OK to honey i need you home NOW!!!! i ended up giving birth with a bandanna on my head wearing one of hubby's old torn t shirts at the end for picture time the bandanna got bloody and had to came of reveling a mess of hair that duo to a really bad hair cut resembled a mullet mixed with a mohock i actually had somebody ask who was holding my baby lol

corrin - 138 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) i knew i wasnt gonna get all glamed up because labor and delivary is no glamorous thing!!!! i went in in my maternity sweats and my hair thrown up...a la natural...i shaved my legs and my armpits though!!!lol...no luck down below but honestly when your in labour the last thing your thinkin about is how your va-jj looks because it dont matter how you shave or what its not gonna look pretty with a babes coming out of it!! lol...so i would say be comfortable....its all on you .....!!!good luck!
