I'm very prone to UTIs. I usually get about 4-5 per year. I got one at 9 weeks preg. and have been extremely cautious not to get another. 32 weeks now and not a UTI since! Here are a few tips. 1) Drink lots of water 2) Completely void your bladder b4 you get up. Sit on the potty for an x-tra minute or rock back a forth to make sure it's all out. 3) ALWAYS urinate after intercourse. And buy some wipes and clean up really good afterwards too.

UTI or shwoing protein in your urine tests is very common in pregnancy. The best treatment is cranberry. Depending on where you live cranberry juice is most often reconstituted and so does not contain enough pure cranberry to assist so if this is the case use cranberry tablets available from any health store and many chemists/pharmacys/drug stores. Take them each day and you should find things have cleared up in about 7 days.

Yes I think this is normal. I was told that the chances of getting UTI's are much higher when you are pregnant. Make sure you drink LOTS! I had a UTI that turned pretty quickly into a Kidney infection...and that is no fun at all. Hope it clears up for you.
