I was wondering if anyone has/had their navel pierced while pregnant, and wether it had to be taken out as their belly got bigger? Or were you able to find something suitable to put in until after the baby was born?

Amy82 - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You should take out the ring you have in there and you can replace it with a pregnancy bar. They are long and made of white plastic. I used it for my first pregnancy and it worked like a charm. This time around though I have just been running the bar through the hole every now and again and it's fine. I'm now 38 weeks pregnant. The only thing I noticed with a piercing is that I got a stretch mark where my skin couldn't stretch any further because of the hole.

jeni - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My belly button has been pierced for almost 12 years. I have a 7 year old daughter and never took the piercing out while I was pregnant. It still looks the same... My hole did not stretch out and other than poking out when I got bigger, the piercing was fine. Good luck.

Cindie - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ok, from what I've heard from other women who've had they're belly buttons pierced during pregnancy.. you should take it out while your belly stretches because you could be left with a nasty stretched out hole.

crystalmooon - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) There is a pregnancy piercing you can get - it looks like a barbell, but it's longer and made of plastic (I believe). I haven't tried it personally, I just took piercing out. Something to watch for tho is scaring where the piercing was. Good luck!

mummychell - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my sister has her navel pierced and is also pregnant she bought a belly bar for ebaby for a few pound which is especially for pregnant women it has a flexible bar rather than a metal one, hope this helps

Mine has been in for almost 8 yrs...I am happy to hear other's outcomes, as i personally want to keep it in. I currently wear a hoop, not a large one though, I guess I'll just see how it goes...Thx again

christina1984 - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i didnt get it during pregnancy but i never had to take it out the 1st time and i still havent this time at 29 wks. if ur belly button starts to push out (which i hope i never experience) then i would assume that a hoop would be better

prayin4babies - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My sister kept her belly button ring in up until delivery day. She was around 130lbs starting and ended at 160lbs and it was fine. Good luck!!
