this is normall! i bled for about 10 weeks. because my bleeding did seem to slow down, but my period started straight on top of it so it felt i was still bleeding from the birth.

well, it could be nothing, cause everyone is different and some just beeld for longer. with my first tho, i bled for 12 weeks, i kept asking my doctor and she kept saying its fine, it fine. finally after 12 weeks i had a chunk the size of a grape come out, it wasnt a blod clot, it looked very weird. after u/s and scans turn out i had pieces of placenta left in me! i had to have a D&C to get them removed. it could be very dangerous if left untreated. i would suggest u get it checked out asap if u dont stop bleeding. even if u have to pay for it.

i bleed bright red for at least 6 weeks, then light spotting for 2 weeks, and everything was normal i had my period 4 mos. after birth. if it continues i would go to a family planning clinic and get checked to make sure all is ok! good luck:)

what do you mean bright red and how frequent are you changing your pads? Blood should be dark red - brown in color and should also be lighter flow now (although everyone is different). You should be changing your pad 1-2 times a day. If you are changing it more on an hourly basis, you need to go to see a doctor. You can message me as well. I'm a Registered Nurse.

I know how you feel. I bled for a long time afterwards, several months, and after sending me to scans etc to make sure everything was ok, it turned out that it was the mini pill the doctor put me on that was causing me to bleed continuously. I stopped taking the pill and the bleeding stopped. If you are on the pill, you could try stopping it. In any case, I would go to a doctor. Better safe than sorry. Good luck.

Can you get state funded insurance so you can go to the doctor? Nine weeks seems a little long, althought I am sure it is not unheard of. It is also possible that you maybe got your period?? I think you should at least call your doctor and see what they say. See what you can do about getting Medical Assistance so you & your child can go to the doctor if you need to. Good luck!
