I cant get my doc by phone at the moment... Um I was at the bathroom and when I wiped, I got ALOT of stringy (looked exactly like snot) type of goop.. I googled it and I believe it was my mucus plug.. The problem is I am 25 weeks.. It;s too soon to be losing it right??? Im freaking out, I was induced at 38 wks, having some mild cramping...

DAWNISPREGZ - 82 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have had a troubled pregnancy-and i have found that my maternity ward is the perfect place to call when doctors are out of hours. The NHS direct not so much as they call you back and put you on a priority list, so can take hours before a nurse call you back. x x

Debra - 82 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it can be normal to loose your plug early. It doesn't mean you will go into labor right now. Just as being dilated and effaced doesn't mean labor is coming either. I dropped at 36 weeks, certain i would go into labor any minute. I was 6 days late. What i'm saying that unless you are having contractions that involve back pain, you aren't in labor. I would advise you to talk to your doctor about what this means for you, your partner and any sex romps you might be considering. Stop by my VIP site for more on preg/labor/BF etc.

christina1984 - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) im 31 weeks and i have been losing mine. at least i think. when i wipe i get huge things of what looks like snot. i believe what the others are saying is true that is comes back

made2bmom - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Like Corrin said, the mucus plug replenishes itself. My best friend lost hers before even week 25. But she's still holding strong at 38 weeks. She's had braxton hicks contractions everyday for a couple of weeks, but other than that, her third trimester has gone smoothly. I think as long as your doctor knows about it, you'll be good.

agonzales - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I say to call your doc and let them know whats going on. I would think they have an emergency number to call after office hours. At least mine does. If not then call l&d at your hospital or go to er like one of the other ladies said. Its better safe than sorry. Good luck I hope everything turns out fine.

corrin - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i lost mine at about 30 weeks...and it kept coming and coming and coming...my doc told me that it will continue to replenish itself so to say until the timeis right......so i wouldnt really worry too too much...but i would def call the doc to give him/her a heads up on the situation

professorpreggers - 83 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you really think it's your mucus plug, yes it's too early and I would look up the number of your hospital's labor and delivery unit. And if all else fails go to the ER. You should get checked out just to be sure. There is loads of discharge during pregnancy but mine is always opaque and not stringy. Dosen't your Dr's office have an emergency number?
