im 17 weeks and long story but i havent been to a doc yet i go on monday any questions i should really ask?

2b - 119 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'm pretty sure if the doctor is worth the initials at the end of his name, he will handle everything, just be sure to tell him that you haven't seen anyone else in the meantime. And you could ask him questions about how he practices and works in the delivery room.

Debra - 119 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) blood tests, urine tests, book you for u/s (usually occurs at 20 weeks), talk about nutrition, exercise. Talk about medications, how many births he does, how they end up (vag vs. C/s- is he quick to take women to the OR or not?). Does he like to induce using cytotec? is he aware of the dangers of this drug? (if yes to both, then i'd head for the door). More info on my VIP site along with tips on preg/labor/BF.

Cindie - 119 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes, make sure the doctor does ALL your lab work, as well as your first ultrasound. Fair warning tho, they may do a AFP test to see if the baby is at risk for Down syndrome. That test has lots of false positives and a few false negatives. So don't freak out if it gives you a high chance. They are supposed to get the blood tests ASAP. And you need to find out if your blood type is Positive or Negative. (like A+ or A-) and find out the blood type of the father because this'll let them know if your RH- which will require a Rogham(spelling) shot right away, and then again further on in your pregnancy.

ROSYMORENO - 120 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I DIDNT GO TO THE DR TILL I WAS 15 WEEKS, JUS MAKE SURE U ASK HIM TO DO UR FIRST ULTRA SOUND AND JUS GET UR LABS DONE ALL UR BLOOD TEST AND LET HIM KNOW ANY FAMILY HISTORY LIKE DIEABETES OR CANCER STUFF LIKE THAT. WELL GOOD LUCK MA TAKE CARE!!

eastern-Canadian-Lady - 120 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would try to focus on nutrition right now, bc I'm guessing that you likely aren't that far along. I would ask when you will get blood tests done, my doc was out and the person filling in for two appointments refused to send me. So yesterday he realised that there are test that I should have had done before now that weren't done. Ask when the ultrasound will be done. This will help to determine the due date if you don't already know when it is. Good luck

mrscolegrove - 120 days ago oh im not getting any testing done for the baby cuz the answers dont really matter it wouldnt change my mind on having her or him any way

Julianna - 120 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ask about testing for genetic anomalies. I believe you may have already missed the afp & quad screen window. Ask about a dating scan and maybe you will get to see the little bugger right away. You should be able to find out sex & have your big ultrasound for organ development, etc in just 3 weeks. Ask about RH factor, gosh, there are so many things you could ask....do you have a list of questions you have started? Just make sure that whatever you think of you write down & take with you.
