Is it true we retain some fat stores whilst breastfeeding? or am I just kidding myself?

kater - 78 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yeah i was told this too, but for me, i got so hungry from feeding, i just ate more, and didnt loose the baby weight until after she was weaned. i have heard though, for some people, breastfeeding works wonders for weight loss

sarahann - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My doctor told me that she was her skinniest when her baby was six months old because breastfeeding made her lose weight. Well, my baby is 10 months old and I have been breastfeeding the whole time and I am the heaviest I've ever been. I went back to normal just a couple of weeks after the birth, but since then I've piled on the weight. I hope you are right and when I stop breastfeeding I'll lose the weight!

flutterbylovebump - 79 days ago Thankyou ladies for you'r comments, I appreciate it. Yep, am BF only, my babe's just turned 4 months but I don't seem to have lost much weight :( Can only hope will loose more when I wean her.... or when I'm running around after her as a toddler!

moms the word - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I lost weight while nursing my daughter and hope to lose weight again while nursing this baby as well. Just eat a well balanced diet and get plenty of water to help keep your milk production where it should be. I also took my daughter on a walk daily to help restart my "normal" metabolism after she was born.

Tierra - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i retained water for the first week after i had my daughter and then lost all the 24 pounds i gained and i also lost an extra 15 pounds....... my husband thinks im getting too skinny and thinks i have a problem cause i think im fat..... like the other woman said it is different for every woman

EniChan - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i heard u can lose weight while nursing. i hopeit will work for me too :-)

candace3 - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I never lost my pregnancy weight until I weaned my daughter...at 14months. Some lose lots of weight while nursing and others do not. I unfortunatly, didn't lose it until then and was pregnant 2 months later....so I had 2 months of feeling like me...oh, well.

KarenVG - 79 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yeah we do, some of us more than others, just have to walk it and exercise it off afterwards!
