I am 17w 2d. I have been craving the chocolate Slim Fast. Would it be ok for me to drink it. Not to lose weight or diet. Just to satisfy my craving.

ya its fine. slimfast does not induce weightloss on its own, its a meal replacement. so if anything, it will just add calories to ur regular daily intake.

I'd have to read the ingredients to be sure but I don't think there is anything harmful in a Slim Fast. It's actually probably healthy for you to eat now as long as you're not eating/drinking them to lose weight! I think they have a lot of vitamins, fiber, etc. I bet there is something in them that your body "needs" right now and that's why you're craving them! It's funny how cravings work like that. Good luck!

As long as you are eating normally and not using it to substitute a meal, then I don't see why it would hurt. It just contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. I would double check with my OB or Midwife to be sure first.

you could also try something like ensure, or carnation instant breakfast instead. these are made more for supplementing nutrition rather than weight loss... and to me, they all taste the same... but if you're stuck on the slimfast, i would double check with your OB or midwife to make sure theres nothing in there that's harmful to baby

I don't know what's in SlimFast but I'm pretty confident that if there's not a hoard of caffeine or alcohol you should be fine. When I was pregnant I drank a Spirutein Chocolate Shake every day for dinner. It provided all the carb and protein, and vitamins, that I needed. I also ate salad just to be sure I was getting real food too. I say go for it. Nothing like a healthy alternative to a chocolate milkshake!
