I`m 12 weeks now, but at the time of my appointment last week I was 11wks and 3days. The tech stated she might have seen something and said it may be a boy, but she didn`t say it was 100%. I saw a site that stated boys and girls look similar, could that tech be wrong?

brittany1621 - 74 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Not only could that tech be wrong, but your guess is probably as good as theirs. At 14 weeks I had an ultrasound done and the tech who had been doing them for 12 years told me that she thought she saw something (meaning a boy) but it must have been the cord! And come to find out I am having a girl! Definetly need to wait to find out until at least week 18 if you want to feel confident.

2b - 74 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) they can always be wrong.

Spike - 74 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) this early there is alot of room for error, boys can still "look" like girls up till the 15th week. they can probley tell you the sex at the 18-20 week scan (as long as your littleone cooperates ) but unless they get a very clear shot they will not give you a 100% either way, just say that its highly likly to be one or the other.

moms the word - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is unusual to find out that soon via ultrasound. I would wait for a later one when the baby is larger before I rushed out to buy little boy clothes. I have a friend who was told three different times that she was having a boy. She was suprised to have a little girl. They thought they saw boy parts on two different ultrasounds but they were wrong! It can happen.

agonzales - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) When I had my scan at 12wks and 6days we saw something that looked like boy parts but the doc said he wasnt sure because it can also be the cord. I had a feeling since the beginning that I was carrying a boy and confirmed it at a 22wk scan. She could be right but I would wait to confirm it at a later ultrasound.
