Im 16wks preggo with twins. Most stories i hear concerning twins only one makes it to full term. Or both make it and one passes shortlyy after delivery. Im worried. Im already high risk because of my young age 16. Wat do you think

soonmamax4 - 106 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) wow, i dont know where youre hearing this, but thats really not the case...dont scare yourself... youre already 16 weeks, just be sure youre getting all you need to keep your babies nourished and healthy...the only things ive heard you might be confusing your info with is twin to twin transfusion, which is very rare and only happens with identicals sharing the same placenta and sac, or that when women bleed very early in pregnancy like the first few weeks and then get an u/s and everything is perfect, it is common that it may have started as a twin pregnancy...rarely does one twin pass after delivery unless there is a huge prematurity factor or there are many other complications, where did you even hear that b.s.???and 16 isnt that high risk, thats when i delievered my first, just be sure youre tking good care of yourself...

dannie - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Where on earth did you get that info! I have never heard anything like that. Just like all the other women said, take good care of yourself, make it to all of your appointments and you and your babies will be just fine. With today's technology Dr's are able to zone in on a problem much sooner than they were before. So relax and enjoy your pregnancy and congratulations on carrying twins! P.S. I am a twin and both my brother and I are perfectly healthy!

tirednpreggy - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Who is telling you all this stuff about twins dying regularly? Certainly MOST twins do not die - make sure you're seeing your doctor when he tells you to and follow his instructions and you'll be fine! People just TALK more about the sad and less about the good, so if you're reading on the internet, take it with a grain of salt...

MiGal76 - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My sister had twins and they were just fine. The only thing is she had a c-section a bit earlier than her due date. You will be just fine.

nich-vegas-mommy2be - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As long as you are taking great care of yourself and following your doctor's advice, things should go fine. Most twins come earlier than the due date, so be prepared for that! I know two women who both delivered at twins early - one at 30 weeks, the other at 31 weeks - and both sets of girls are doing fine!

skittles0607 - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I know many people who have delievered 2 healthy babies. They may come earlier than their due date but I think they will be just fine.

dawnispregz - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) the chance of you delivering two perfectly healthy babies are high, you have more scans and check ups to make sure everythings fine with babies and you. dont worry about it as you dont need extra stress whilst pregnant anyways, many thousands peoples have twins, triplets and quads, and what about the story of the octuplets?8 babies!! if the human body wasnt able to deal with twins then i dont think twins would have been able to be created- if you know what i mean. x x

sibandtwins - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) dont listen to all the bull people tell you. have you not noticed that they only ever tell u the scare stories?!! im 27wks with identical twins, which they say r the most high risk of twins, but *touch wood* everything is going fine. twins can come early, but my consultant sed that most twin pregnancies get to ful term (36 wks for twins) so try not to worry!!! everything will be fine, and u will have more appointments so that they can keep an eye on u and those twins!! :D just try to relax and take it easy! xxx

bigmuma - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think people mean that very early on in the pregnancy a lot of pregnancys are twins but only one actually forms properly and the other is absorbed by the our body. Your 16 weeks you should be all good darl. xx

everythingX2 - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) well im 32 weeks 4 days with twins and they are doing great. no problems at all and i go every week to get a scan and my bp checked. like the others below i have never heard of this before. there can be more complications sure, this is mainly due to no room and 2 bodies in the space built for 1.

Spike - 109 days ago Rating: 5 (1 votes) do you know if they are fraternal or identical? fraternal have alot less problems than identicals, but the chances of them both being born alive and well are very high no matter wich they are. even though you are young as long as you get good aantinatal care and take good care of yourself they should be fne. cause you are smaller than an adult there will be less room in there so they will probley be a few weeks early but thease days thats not such a problem. i have a freind who fell pregnant with twins when she was only 13 years old, and she was absolutley terrified the whole pregnancy that something was going to happen to them cause she is a very small person, and was convinced that they wouldnt fit. they did, they were born at 34 weeks and were both compleatly healthy, they needed a little help to breath for a week or two but they went home after just 4 weeks in nicu. dont worry so much about them not making it to term, term in a twim pregnancy is not the same as term in a singleton (one baby) you will be considered term at 36 weeks anything after that is a bonus (trhough by that point you will feel like your going to pop) if you want to talk to me more about it msg me, i have been pregnant with twins 3 times myself (i didnt have such great outcomes but) and i was a twin myself and born at 28 weeks, ive studdied alot of different aspects of a twin pregnancy and would be more than happy to try and ease your fears.

sharlayna - 109 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hi, i have read a bit about twins and have not heard anything like that because you are young you may have them a bit sooner but that does not mean that one of them will die, doctors do wonders with prem babies im sure that they will be fine just do everything you can to look after them well your pregnant.
