I am almost 18 weeks pregnant with twins. I have yet to feel them move and I really thought with 2 babies in there I would feel them by now. Is this normal?

trying4baby3 - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi there I haven't had twins but I know with my singletons I didn't feel them until @ 22 weeks. Take care

sibandtwins - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i agree with everythingX2!!! i didnt feel real movements until about 22weeks. but now im 27weeks i dont feel kicks its more them moveing around trying to get comfy lol...i think they r running out of room. if u r worried, when u go for ur next scan ask them where ur placenta is laying....mine is at the front which is like the twins kicking a pillow (u wont feel them as much until they get bigger). hope this helps :) xx

everythingX2 - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hi, im 32w 5 days with twins. in had this same panic when reading that other people feel them from like 12 weeks +. so i went to doc to ask this 1 and only question. he looked at me like i was mad - and said for people who are in their first pregnancy then they generally dont feel anything til about 22-23 weeks. this is because they do not know what to look for and therefore dont know if what they sometimes feel is their imagination or not. i was just under 23 weeks before i actually felt a proper movement. however u may feel a butterfly type feeling in ur stomach and many believe thats the baby (or babies) moving around at a much younger time. the doc said to me that "they are small, they have small arms/legs etc - and they also need to push through about 4 different layers of muscles etc for u to feel them properly". i know u want to feel them as soon as poss but believe me when they start to wriggle and u feel ready to burst u wish u could lie in bed for an extra hr a day before they wake up and start fidgeting, lol. u will be fine - dont panic and take things easy x

moms the word - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Some women don't feel movement until 20 weeks or so. As long as your doctor thinks things are ok and you are getting good strong heartbeats, then try not to worry. Have you been told by chance that you have an anterior placenta? Where your placenta is in the front? If so, then that could be why. They say it is like the babies are punching or kicking a pillow so movements are muffled. Hang in there!

Teenmommy2b - 108 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is. You'll feel them. Im 16 weeks with twins. Although both my little girls are very active. You will feel them. Expecially as they get bigger. :) thats what my dr. Said yesterday :) good luck on the little ones=]
