Ok this may sound stupid. But i read the responses as far as why my BH contractions were more regular and some were dehydration. Is there anything i can drink besides water? All my life i hated water. I always drank apple juice or something other than water. These contractions are still continuing and are still quite painful, =[

Debra - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) drink milk. Dilute juice with water. Lemon juice and water is nice as well.

moms the word - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Adding mixes to water is fine. Just be careful about what kind of sweetener is in it. Go to www.amazingpregnancy.com to read about artificial sweetener cause some of them, like aspartame which is in Crystal Light have inconclusive results as to what effect they have on pregnancy. Go to the site and search artificial sweeteners and read the FDA research for yourself. If you are looking for a low or no calorie substitute then splenda or sucralose is your best bet because it has been proven to have no ill effects on babies. Also, limit yourself to no more than two caff. beverages per day. Good Luck.

EniChan - 103 days ago Rating: 4 (1 votes) how about u mix apple juice and water? itsmilder than just apple juice and tastes better than plain water:)

cdoyle23 - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You can also try some decaf tea. Kool aid. Flavored water works too. Or get some crystal light to put in a bottle of water. At least it makes it not so boring.

dvsrunt - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hey there! I hate water too, none of my friends understand that, but I just hate it!! So I have learned that I will drink more if I add something to it. I LOVE green koolaid...so I take a huge drink in the morning out of the water bottle and then replace it with some green koolaid...at first it tasted odd but now I can't drink regular Koolaid unless it's dilated. I also do this with juices too!! Like cranberry and apple!!! YUM

Mrs.M.H. - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I hate water myself so really anything is good for you but you really should ask your doc you are still really early to be having them so intensely and frequently! Look up Braxton Hicks in the pregnancy index on the side of this page and fine Bracton Hicks contractions. You shouldn't be having painful ones at this stage. Yous shouldn't have more than 4 in an hour. So please drink anything but things with caffein, but talk to a doc or nurse or something.

summerisis - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you can also drink teas -- like red raspberry leaf tea. that also helps your uterus.

professorpreggers - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I've been drinking gatorade the last few days. It's not ideal and I plan to go to Whole Foods and look for a better sports drink that dosen't have high fructose corn syrup in it, but for now it's helping. No matter how much water I drink I can't seem to hydrate. I've been in the hospital twice now for dehydration. Just keep pushing fluids--water is best, but drink anything (except for diuretics obviously)will help you. Good luck.

kbushby - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you just gotta suck it up and drink it.. try adding fresh lemon to it, thats what i do when im bored of drinking water, and make sure its icy cold.. warm water is not appealing.

candace3 - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am not a fan of water...but I add the little flavor packets and i drink it a lot better. You can get 20 in a box for around 3$.

agonzales - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I also dont really like water but I been making myself drink it since I get the bh all the time. What I started doing was adding some lemon juice to it to give it a little flavor.
