Has anyone had their membranes swept in the past? If so, did it work? How long before labor started?

kapricesfirstbaby - 62 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had it done when I was 9 days overdue and 3 cm dilated; it was about 1 pm when I had it done, and I ended up going into labor around 6 pm that same evening.

RandiLee - 63 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had it done 3 days ago, and it hasn't worked yet.....maybe soon? But I did hear that if it doesn't work within the first 48 hours, then it doesn't work at all. I did have false labour for 2 whole days after, and did have my "bloody show"....that's about it.

Spike - 63 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes they did it to me, but dint have all that much luck, they ended up hooking me up to the drip after 6 hours cause we just couldnt afford to wait for things to start themselves. i could however feel the contracts start almost as soon as it was done they just wernt very strong, fact was tat they never realy got very strongat all, even with the help of the drip.

cadesmommy - 63 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It worked for me. Less thank 36 hours later I was in labor. Granted I was over due already so that might of played a part. Before my sweep I was 1 cementer and my water just randomly broke 36 hours later. If I get pregnant again (which I plan on) I will def have it done again.

mumofsoontobe5 - 63 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had it done 4 days ago and nothing yet. Goodluck

Amanda.M - 63 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes i had it done with my 3rd,went to the hospital and on the way home getting out the car got a contraction then nothing till that night i was up untill 2:45am with irregular contractions (false labour),so went to bed, while getting daughter ready for school i was getting them again and yep it was time went to hospital at 9am and had him by 1:30pm. so u could say it worked for me,but i was 5days overdue and they booked me in to get brought on the next week.

Julianna - 63 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had it done twice and it didn't do anything for me.
