When you had late term ultrasounds did the sonographer predict your babies weight? How far along were you and were the predictions accurate? Thanks in advance!

OhioMomma2HH - 60 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had an U/S 3 days before he was born and they said 7 lbs 8 oz, he was born weighing 7 lbs 12 oz. So pretty darn close!

harpchick - 61 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I went 2-3 weeks overdue with each of my first two babies, who were breech and transverse. I had ultrasounds immediately before the c-sections and the weight predictions were accurate to within a half pound.

Spike - 61 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had one at 24 weeks, 34 weeks and 36 weeks the last 2 i was given a weight estimate, at 34 it was almost 5 pound, and at 36 just before the started inducing me the said he was 8 pound, after 73 hours of labour i gave birth to a boy who weighed 7 pound 7 onces, so they were pretty close. they get this estimated number by taking measurements of the head circumfrence, abdominal circumfrence and the lenght of the femur, thease are then ploted out on a chart of expected grown, the gestational age is taken into acount and then you have your numvber!

Debra - 61 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) u/s are often off by a pound or more. They are not accurate at all for weight prediction. After all, its a prediction.

candace3 - 61 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) With my 2nd one, they said 4.5lbs at 37 weeks, I delivered her the next day and she was 5lb 5oz. My last one at 35 weeks was 5lbs exactly and when I delivered her at 39 weeks she was 6lb 9 oz. This one at 36 weeks was 4lb 15 oz...so I am curious how much she will weigh when I go in tomorrow and when I deliver her.

corrin - 61 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had a sono the week before i delivered...the sono said 8lb 3 oz...baby weighed 9lb 10 oz...so it was just a tad off!! lol but they usually say give or take a pound...

MzMommy2B - 61 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had 1 the day he was born (was induced 8 days late) they said he was abour 7 10, he was 7 11, so pretty accurate!
