I am breastfeeding my daughter and I never feel `full`. I feel my milk let down after she sucks a few times and that`s it. I can feel is through out the day when It`s time to feed her. She seems to be satisfied but i`m not engorged like I was before.. Am I still making enough milk for her. When She came home from the hosptial I had to pump in between feds because I was making soo much milk and I was pumping 6-8 oz. every 4 hours and I have gotten away with that since Im not so engorged anymore. I need to know if i`m still making enough milk or is this a sign that my body is just making enough for her.

TNMom - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Here's something they did for my sister at the dr. office when they didn't know if she was producing enough milk. They weighed the baby, handed her to my sister who nursed her, then they weighed her again immediately after nursing. She only gained 2 oz, so they knew she wasn't producing enough milk. That said, nothing says you have to feel engorged. Some women never have a problem with it.

Debra - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes. If she is peeing enough to wet a diaper (any pee) in 3 hours, she is getting enough. You shouldn't be engorged. As she gets beyond 10lb, she will also be drinking less often. See my VIP site for more tips on bf/engorgement/pumping etc. Sounds like your milk supply has just evened out. For an example of how amazing our bodies are- the first time my baby slept through the night I of course woke up engorged. Pumped and then he fed when he woke up. This happed 2 days in a row. Now my breasts don't even start to fill up or feel full until about 5 am to get ready for his 7am/8am wake up.

liquidxx - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) if you feel your not making enough..try pumping whenever she's not feeding.. your bb's could be stopping the supply since there is no high Demand for it...just a thought. <33

luckywhite - 68 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its supply and demand your body has adjusted perfectly to suit her needs. if she feels shes not getting enough she sill suckle for longer ir feed more often to boost your supplies.. its pretty amazing.. sounds like you have just balanced out perfectly.. nothing to worry about at all. Well done for being a breastfeeding mummy xxxx
