Can anyone help me the last time I had to wake up for a poo in the middle of the night was because I was in labour. I am having abdo pain followed by runny poo`s. Can you get upset tummy`s this bad in pregnancy? I am 26 1/2 weeks, is my baby ok? I have spoke with a midwife and they do not want me to come in and spread what I have to the babies unless I am in labour. I am so scared, can anyone help x

mum2twins-yay - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Try not to worry hun. My friend had salmonella poisoning at 16 weeks pregnant and felt terrible, she was encouraged to drink plenty of fluids etc and she saw her doctor who gave her some medicine to level out her sodium. Your midwife should come to see you really. I would insist on a home visit. As it turned out my friend is absolutely fine and so is her baby.

moms the word - 103 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Your worst enemy right now besides the loose stools is dehydration. Keep drinking plenty of clear fluids especially water. You probably have some kind of stomach virus. As long as you keep hydrated and don't have any fever, bleeding or contractions(which I think feel different from gas/intestinal pains, they are more of a squeezing and pressure sensation) then you might just have to ride it out. Try to rest as much as possible and drink lots of fluids to keep hydrated. If you get to the point where you start vomitting and can't keep fluids down, them my advice would be to go to the ER for IV fluids to keep you from being dehydrated. I am so sorry to hear you are suffering, you and your baby will be in my prayers. Please let me know how things turn out. I am always here to talk. Good luck and God bless!
